Chapter 210: Julia Stomach Pain and Bleeding
“Ouch,” Julia retched, and then her pupils dilated suddenly as she covered her mouth. Seeing Julia’s reaction, Jared was stunned for a moment. After a brief shock, he stared at Julia’s lower abdomen, looking so intently that he could almost see inside through her belly.
He shouldn’t have been too familiar with Julia’s reaction; he had seen it with Maddie. He and Julia had sex twice. The first time was on a rainy night, and Julia must have taken birth control pills. afterward. The second time was when Julia was drunk and seduced him. He gave in to temptation in the car.
Counting the days, it should be almost the same. Thinking of this, Jared couldn’t help but become excited. That excitement didn’t last long when Julia spoke.
“Stomach flatulence,” Julia said, looking at Jared with wide–open eyes. Her face remained calm, but her heart raced in panic.
Jared half–closed his eyes and looked at Julia’s pretendingly calm face. After a two–second delay, he stretched out his hand and touched Julia’s lower abdomen. She reflexively dodged, which made Jared’s suspicion heightened even more.
So he asked, “I have a question.”
“What?” Julia’s heart pounded.
“If in the future you become pregnant, would you hide it from me like Maddie did?” Jared asked calmly, but his pool–black eyes carefully reflected Julia’s every move, wanting to capture her
reaction.
Julia’s pupils dilated slightly, and subtle changes in her facial expression were hard to discern. Her heart was in turmoil. What did he mean by suddenly asking? Could he remember what happened on that rainy night?
She analyzed carefully, her mind racing. Julia felt that Jared might not remember everything, just scattered fragments. If he recalled everything, this period of tranquility would be disrupted. “Why are you suddenly asking this?” Julia furrowed her brow, unsure how to respond. “It didn’t happen. How would I know?” She avoided looking at Jared.
Julia’s hesitant response deepened Jared’s suspicions. He once again focused on Julia’s belly. If she were genuinely pregnant, she would undoubtedly keep it a secret.
Regardless of whether his hunch was correct, he could find out. “Stop at the pharmacy,” Jared instructed Joseph.
Julia turned to him, puzzled. “Why are you going to the pharmacy? Are you feeling unwell?”
“Aren’t

Julia watched Jared enter the pharmacy, relieved. Thankfully, he believed her.
After Jared entered the pharmacy, he purchased stomach medicine and a pregnancy test kit. He examined the pregnancy test kit on his phone, a hint of worry creeping in.
The pregnancy test required urine, which he couldn’t easily access. But there was a solution.
Jared called Shiloh to block the toilet in Julia’s room and place a temporary urinal in the bathroom. This way, when Julia woke up at night, she would have no choice but to use the temporary urinal.
Unaware of Jared’s plan, Julia thought he had genuinely gone to buy medicine for her. She knew

she had to take the medication to avoid raising suspicions.
Half an hour later, they arrived at Brooks’s old house. Upon seeing Julia, Yannie’s expression soured.
Yannie had never liked Julia. After the incident where Julia beat Cameron, her hatred had only grown. Seeing Julia now filled Yannie with irritation.
“Why did you bring her here?” Yannie’s hostility was evident from the moment she spoke.
The rooms are filled with tension. The air felt cold and awkward. It was Cameron who broke the silence with her bitchy commentary about the incident.
Cameron tugged at Yannie’s arm and said, “Godmother, don’t be angry. I thought about what happened last time when she beat me. It’s not entirely her fault. I suspected she stole the Little Jade Statue, so I confronted her.”
Cameron didn’t plan on defending Julia. Instead, she intentionally brought up old grievances. “Humph!” Yannie snorted angrily, her gaze even colder as she looked at Julia. “It’s wrong to resort to violence. I thought you had some dignity. That’s why Jared chose you. Jared protected you before, and I didn’t pursue it. But now that you’re here, shouldn’t you apologize for what you did to Cameron?”
Julia arched an eyebrow calmly, neither humble nor arrogant. “I’m sorry if I sound disrespectful, but why would I apologize to her, exactly?”
Cameron seethed with anger. “You should apologize!”
“Cameron, enough. Don’t expect me to intervene if you try to take it from her again.”
Yannie was furious upon hearing it coming from Jared. “Jared, you-”
Before Yannie could continue, Julia spoke, “If someone took your things and refused to return them, and you used force to reclaim them, would you apologize to them? Think about that.”
Yannie was momentarily speechless. How dare this woman call The Little Jade Statue hers? It was Juju’s.
Cameron felt a chill in her heart. She almost wanted to cry.
Yannie was still angry. “Jared, come with me. I need to talk to you.”
After leading Jared aside, Yannie got straight to the point. “You want the Little Jade Statue back,
but it belongs to Juju. I remember she calls me Aunt Ya and sees me as her second mother. I won’t accept it if
you give the Little Jade Statue to someone else.”
“But this is Julia we’re talking about,” Jared’s voice was annoyed, but he was trying to be
composed.
Yannie’s eyebrow arched and said, “Do you think I care? All I care about is Juju. She was such a sweet girl. Can’t you see my pain here?”
Jared couldn’t say a word. Julia was as important as Juju, but how could he tell Yannie about that?
On the other hand, Cameron and Julia, who were left in the other part of the house, kept arguing.
Cameron continued fighting with Julia. “Hand over the Little Jade Statue. It’s not yours!”
Julia remained composed. “What if I don’t?”
“You’re such a bitch. How come you take what wasn’t yours and get angry if someone else’s take it and give it to the rightful owner,” Cameron shouted.
“How sure are you that this wasn’t mine?” But before Cameron could answer, Julia added,

“Whoever this Little Buddha Statue belongs to, I’m pretty sure it wasn’t you. It would never be you!”
Cameron’s frustration grew, and she raised his hand as if to slap Julia. Before she could strike, Julia suddenly crouched down, clutching her stomach.
