Chapter 198: Going to the Bathroom with Jared Brooks
Julia paused for a while, waiting for the electric shock on her neck to subside before turning her head.
The moment she tilted her head, her lips instantly brushed against Jared’s lips.
The electrifying spark ran through her spine again.
Panting, Julia turned her head back and felt the rapid beating of her heart. Luckily, Jared was too intoxicated by alcohol.
Otherwise, he would accuse her of kissing him on purpose and not letting her go.
Jared slowly opened his eyes and looked at Julia’s earlobe. Her ears were originally fair, but now, they looked so red.
Unable to resist, he curled his lips slightly and let his tongue glide on his lower lip, savoring the taste of the girl’s kiss.
It had been a while since he had kissed a woman that he didn’t initiate. Julia didn’t disappoint. She tasted so good.
He noticed Julia was about to grab his arm to help him walk upstairs, so he took it as a chance. again.
As they stepped on the stairs, his sloppy kisses again landed on Julia‘ s neck.
Julia froze in her spot and blinked, starting to feel puzzled.
“Jared?” she called out. Jared remained quiet and closed his eyes. He rested his chin on the hollow of her neck, unmoving.
“Am I just overthinking? Perhaps it was just a coincidence?”
Julia shook her head and snaked her arm around Jared’s waist.
She groaned inwardly. It was hard!
Jared’s muscles were so firm from exercising that she couldn’t even twist them.
“Tsk.” Julia clicked her tongue.
‘Well, his waist is quite impressive.‘
She pushed the bedroom door open and dropped Jared on the soft bed. She heaved a deep sigh. She could finally go to sleep!
She was about to retreat when she noticed Jared trying to stand

Ignoring Julia, Jared started walking, his legs stumbling as they marched to the bathroom.
Julia hurriedly rushed toward him to support his body when he was about to fall.
“Why did you drink so much, Jared? Look at you now!” she complained.
‘Didn’t he even think to leave some for me? Obviously, I can’t drink now, but I can in the future.‘
“Are you going to vomit?”
“Not, it’s just more convenient,” Jared slurred. He intentionally acted this way to make Julia believe that he was really drunk.
Julia glanced at his lower body. “Can you do it yourself?”

“Hmmm… Yeah. I think,” Jared replied. He raised his arm to hold onto the wall. He tried to stand up but failed in the end.
Julia watched him stumble before rolling her eyes.
‘It seems like what people say is true. Drunk people always say they think they‘ re not drunk.‘ “Come on. I’ll help you, she grumbled reluctantly.
What was she supposed to do?
‘Should I find my Conrad?‘
Julia shook her head at the thought. Conrad must already be too drunk to take care of himself. Also, how would she be able to find him?
She looked at Jared. She couldn’t just leave him here in this state. She couldn’t let this man.

In the end, Julia helped Jared to the bathroom.

Julia had already planned everything perfectly. However, right after she entered the bathroom, she saw Jared standing straight as if waiting for her.
‘What the hell?!‘ Julia almost blurted out.
“Go on. I won’t help you anymore,” she declared.
Jared remained still, his face turning red from holding back. He tried to raise his hand but failed to find the right place.
After a few tries, he finally grabbed her hand.
“Help me,” he said in a low tone.
Julia felt the fast and heavy thumping of her heart, captivated by his intoxicating and charming voice.
She didn’t know how she had been bewitched, but inexplicably, she had done that for the man..
The next thing she knew, her hand started to move on its own.
Satisfied, Jared leaned against her. When they returned to bed, he pulled her down with him.
He embraced her, holding her firmly and not wanting to let her go.
Julia took a long breath, letting the man trap her in his arms. She realized how she had used to it.
She remembered a saying, ‘When in Rome, do as Romans do.‘

She didn’t feel like moving anymore. So, she lay comfortably in Jared’s arms, closed her eyes, and started to drift off to sleep.
The moment Julia closed her eyes, Jared’s large hand started to wander on her body. His warm fingers slid down from her waist to her lower abdomen.
Jared’s hand was particularly massive, and there was not enough space between her abdomen for his entire hand.
Julia’s body started to tremble. Jared was resting his hand in a delicate area. It was the most sacred place for a woman, where life was nurtured.
And now, she had three babies in her womb, all covered by Jared’s large palm.
Fortunately, Jared didn’t do anything afterward. If he dared to lower his hand, Julia swore she

Jared felt the flatness of Julia’s stomach, suddenly remembering Maddie‘ s slightly rounded belly and Henry‘ s constant bragging.
To be honest, Jared had never been envious of anyone or anything in his entire life.
Now, he envied his friend so much.
Although Maddie hadn’t shown any interest in Henry yet, it wouldn’t be long before he became a father.
Not just a father but a father of three children.

He hadn’t fulfilled anything yet.
He carefully moved his fingers and tapped Julia‘ s lower belly.
He wondered when her stomach would start to form a bump.
After that rainy night, Julia had definitely taken extra contraceptive measures.
Although he had taken advantage of her being drunk a few days ago and spent two hours with her in the car, it still wasn’t enough.
Two hours was still short for Jared, and not all could be as lucky as Henry in succeeding on the first try.
Of course, it wasn’t about who was more skilled but a matter of probability.
With this thought in mind, Jared began to craft his plan, trying to find ways to spend more intimate time with Julia to raise his chances.
The two of them got drowned in their own thoughts. Neither of them fell asleep until dawn. The next thing they knew, they were sleeping soundly on the bed.
Julia spent the next few days looking at her stomach with a worried expression.
She and Jared agreed to divorce after a year. However, given the current situation, she estimated that her baby bump would start showing in about three or four months.
‘How will I even handle this?‘
She snapped back to reality when she heard her phone buzz.
As soon as she saw Maddie‘ s name on the screen, her headache intensified.
Julia hadn’t told Maddie about her pregnancy. It wasn’t because she felt awkward about it with her friend, but her guts told her that Maddie would think of it as a joke if she mentioned it.
The more Julia would picture Maddie’s reaction, the more she felt discouraged to tell her.
She heaved a sigh and picked up her phone.
“Julia, we have a high school reunion tomorrow night. Want to join us? It’s going to be fun!”
Julia’s brows furrowed. “Why on earth did you suddenly think of organizing a reunion?” “It wasn’t me! I heard it was our class president. He was promoted to manager in a good corporation, so our classmates decided to make him treat us. He couldn’t refuse, of course, so he’s hosting a dinner!”
“Ooh,” Julia murmured.
“By the way, do you even remember our class president? He confessed to you before! But back then, you only had your eyes set on the damn bastard,” Maddie said, pertaining to Carter. “I

remember giving you advice. Our president was literally the school’s heartthrob and no less handsome than Carter. The only flaw he had was that he wasn‘ t rich. He was a reliable guy. Anyway, let’s stop talking about the past. You‘ re already married, and you found a hotter guy.” Julia tried to remember their high school president.
“Yeah. He was pretty nice. I remembered that time during PE class. I got injured, so he carried me to the infirmary. He also wrote me quite a few love letters and even sang songs for me.” Julia was busy reminiscing when a deep, male voice sounded behind her.
