Chapter 165: Bittersweet Revenge
“Hey-!” Philip’s eyes widened in shock while staring at the torn bank check. He was stunned; he didn’t expect Julia to do such a thing. It was as if she had slapped her in the face.
“Why?” Julia smirked and threw the pieces into the trash can. “I just think that trash belongs in the trash can.”
Her comment fuelled Philip’s anger further. “Julia! How dare you call your a fool; he knew the meaning behind Julia’s words.

“Oh, I didn’t say that though?” She innocently said before taking a sip of her coffee.
Julia finally faced Philip, who was fuming like he would vomit any second. “The coffee today tastes especially delicious! Must be because I’m in a good mood?” She commented, smiling in satisfaction.
“Why did I even let you live?! You’ve become a beast!” Philip’s anger exploded to the extreme. He stood up and was about to slap Julia’s face when Conrad caught his hand to stop him.
Philip glared at Conrad as his chest heaved violently. “You both are a pair of beasts!”
Julia looked up at Philip calmly, unbothered by his harsh words. “If we’re beasts, aren’t you beast?”

“How dare you call me that, Julia! You have no respect! You-” Before he could even finish, Julia spoke nonchalantly. “Don’t frame people like that. Didn’t you say those words yourself? I only concluded based on what you said.” Julia took one last sip before placing the cup back on the
table.
Ignoring Philip’s rage, she pulled Conrad’s arm. “Let’s go.” Julia smiled at her brother. “Hurry, are you going to wait for him?”
Conrad eyed Julia suspiciously for a second before nodding without question. They stepped out of the coffee shop and ignored Philip scandalously, yelling at them to stop. In defeat, Philip sat down angrily and rubbed his temples.
Julia chuckled as they walked, and it caught Conrad’s attention. “What on earth are you
planning?” Conrad asked curiously. “Hey!” Julia had a mischievous smile, shaking her head. “Just something…”
Inside the coffee shop was Philip still rubbing his forehead. But the more he rubbed it, the more painful it became. He thought that maybe he committed such grave sins in his past life. That was why he was being punished by having children who turned into goddamn beasts.
Fortunately, he was rewarded with a respectful and capable daughter like Yasmin. While thinking of Yasmin’s situation, Philip’s headache became worse.
He had to find a way to reconcile with Sheldon Parker’s family. Otherwise, Yasmin would stay in prison for a long time.
Sighing, Philip grabbed his phone. “I’ll go to the hospital first.” He was about to leave when the waiter suddenly stopped him. “Sir, the combo set you ordered will be ready soon.”
Confused, Philip’s eyes widened. “What do you mean? When did I order it?”
“The lady earlier ordered it for you, sir. She said that you’re treating your company’s employees with coffee.”
‘Damn that stinky girl!‘ Philip cussed and swatted the waiter’s hand. “She ordered that, so look for her!” Philip stomped his feet away, but the waiter caught him in time, “You still haven’t paid the

bill, sir! It’s a combo set with a thousand cups of coffee, each with tiramisu, mousse, egg tarts, and pudding!” The more the waiter enumerated the order, the more angry Philip became.
The bystanders also began murmuring with each other, making Philip feel embarrassed. “Please settle the bill first before leaving, sir.” The manager blocked Philip’s way, and the waiters. stood at the door to prevent Philip from leaving.
“I told you
I didn’t order that! Find the person who ordered it!” Philip roared, but the manager didn’t budge.
The manager looked at Philip with a smile. “You came together, but they had already left; it’s natural for you to settle the bill.”
“I don’t know them!” Philip yelled in defense as the people around him pointed their fingers at him.
“The waiter said he owns a company? I can’t believe he’ll do such a thing!”
“Maybe he changed his mind and denied ordering anything for his employees?”
“Oh! I heard the young man call him dad! Didn’t he just say he doesn’t know them? That’s ridiculous!”
The entire coffee shop was filled with numerous people murmuring about what happened. Enraged, Philip wanted to strangle Julia for pulling such a dirty trick.
“I won’t
pay for all that! I’ll give you that girl’s phone number!”
The manager sighed and immediately dialed the police. “Good day, officer. This is S&Y Cafe. Someone here placed a huge order and refused to pay. Please help us.”
“I will pay!” Philip immediately yelled, gritting his teeth in anger.
Julia and Conrad were listening outside the shop. Conrad couldn’t believe what he had just witnessed. He looked at Julia helplessly, smiling as he rubbed Julia’s forehead. “Naughty.”
Julia proudly smiled and raised a brow. “Well. Who started it? You won’t be relieved if you don’t teach him a lesson!”
Conrad frowned and sighed, turning his head to look at the coffee shop. Julia followed his and asked, “Are you still expecting something from him?”

Conrad shook his head. “I’ve seen how unworthy he is of being a father. He doesn’t care about family; he only wants someone that can benefit him.”
It was nice that Conrad understood the situation, but Julia was still worried. “I have a question.”
“What is it?”
Julia lowered her head for a moment before looking at her brother seriously. “One day, he’ll know you are J&C Limited’s boss. He’ll know you have a successful career and will surely take you back. The question is, will you go back to him?”
Conrad stared at Julia after hearing her question. After a few seconds of silence, he looked up at the sky with a smile.
“If Mom is watching us right now, she probably doesn’t want us to go back.” Hearing that, Julia also faced the sky and nodded. “Yeah.”
When Conrad left for work, Julia suddenly remembered a big event. Henry was supposed to go to Maddie’s house and pretend to be her boyfriend.
Julia checked the time and wondered, ‘It’s almost over, right? I wonder how things went?‘

She took out her phone and was about to call Maddie, but Maddie called her first.
The moment she answered the call, Julia heard Maddie shouting. Her voice was filled with resentment on the other line.
“Julia! I hate it so much! I wouldn’t have agreed if I had known this would happen!” Maddie cried. “What happened? Did your parents find out?” Julia asked, confused.
