Chapter 130: Jared Wants to Show His Treasure to Julia
‘Shouldn’t there be posts cursing the heck out of me? Why is it so quiet here?‘ Julia thought. She continued scrolling through her social media accounts until a post caught her attention.
It was a post from the Monroe City Police Station. The report stated that Yasmin‘ s fans have been arrested and detained for defamation and spreading false information.
A photo was also uploaded, showing two ordinary looking girls.
‘Are these two… The girls?‘
Julia remembered their faces. She saw them in front of the maternity store before. At that time, she felt wary of them, but they disappeared after a while.
‘Maybe that was the time they were arrested by the police?‘ she pondered.
‘So, is this the reason why the social media sites are mum about the issue?”
Julia felt relieved. It was good that they were caught. The online trolls, like those girls, didn’t care about hurting other people’s feelings. They should’ve been caught a long time ago. At that moment, Julia heard the sound of the door being opened.
‘Is Jared back?‘
Julia glanced at her phone before looking up and meeting Jared’s eyes. Her eyebrows furrowed when an idea flashed in her mind.
“Jared… Did you do this?”
Jared opened his mouth to speak, only to be interrupted by his brother’s voice from upstairs.
“It wasn’t me, Jared. Who else could it be?” Shiloh butted in immediately.
He was worried that his brother wouldn’t tell the truth. He thought that Jared needed to tell Julia about it. If she found out that he did something for her, she might feel touched and throw herself into his arms.

“Thank
you,” Julia muttered in a low voice. She would be lying if she said she wasn’t moved by his gesture.
Jared slowly approached her. He raised his hand and reached for her shirt‘ s collar, straightening out the rolled–up hem of her clothes.
“Go to my room after dinner. I’ll show you my treasure,” he casually said.
Shiloh s loud coughs echoed in the house. The poor man was choked by his saliva, and his face turned red in an instant.
“Are you serious, Jared? Can’t you say those words when I’m out of sight?” He groaned. Julia didn’t find anything wrong with Jared’s words when she first heard them. But hearing Shiloh’s words now made her realize how inappropriate it was! Her cheeks and ears flushed in embarrassment.
At the same time, her heart started to thump faster.
‘Could it be?‘
‘Is he asking me to look at his… Julia mentally shook her head. ‘No way!‘

Throughout the dinner, Julia remained anxious.
Jared put down his glass and stood up. “Let’s go.”
He started walking away, and all Julia could think was to run away. Far from him.
Jared noticed that Julia hadn’t moved from her seat, so he glanced at her.
He immediately saw her flushed face and couldn’t help but think about what Shiloh said earlier.

However, Julia looked nervous, and she was blushing so hard, which he found cute.
Suddenly, Jared wanted to tease her a little.
“Hurry up. Don’t worry, I’m not like my brother. My thoughts aren’t that dirty.”

Seeing Jared’s sincere expression, Julia felt relieved. Her nervousness finally subsided. After all, she could agree that Jared was a gentleman. Otherwise, he would have already taken advantage of her long ago when she got drugged.
Relaxed, Julia followed Jared upstairs.
It was only when she entered the room that her anxious thoughts returned. Because Jared suddenly grabbed her arms and pinned her to the wall by the door.
“What the ” Shiloh exclaimed downstairs, startled by the sound of the banging door and He looked at his brother‘ s bedroom door and winced.
“You said I was dirty, but look who’s making such a big fuss now.” He shook his head and picked up a freshly washed grape from the bowl and dunked it in his mouth.

Meanwhile, inside the bedroom, Julia’s space was completely invaded by the man. Not only that but he was staring at her with his sensual eyes. He even grabbed her hand and said, “Let me show you my treasure.”
Julia released a series of curses in her head. ‘Damn this man!‘ He was too straightforward and

‘Did he finally lose his self–control?‘
With his half–lidded eyes, Jared smiled at her sensually. Seeing her shocked and shy expression made him happy. She looked so adorable.
“A–Actually, I’m not that interested to see y–your… uhm… treasure right now,” Julia stammered and faked a yawn. She then pulled her hand out of his grasp.
“Good night,” she muttered and reached for the door handle, ready to escape.
However, Jared calmly stretched out his hand and pushed the door closed. The door lock made a sound as he clicked it.
Downstairs, Shiloh stared at the upper floor with his mouth wide open, speechless. His eyes didn’t even blink.
Meanwhile, Julia stared at the closed door with wide eyes, slightly dazed.
“Come with me.” Jared’s voice was mellow and intoxicating, like a cello being played. It was so captivating that Julia thought it could make one’s ears pregnant.

Julia bowed her head and watched their hands intertwining together. She knew that his hands were big. Before, when she looked for the Little Jade Statue, Jared easily pinned her down, holding both hands with his one hand. His hand was like handcuffs, making it impossible for her to break free.
Jared led her to the edge of the bed and gently pushed her to sit down on it.
Julia raised her head and looked at the man standing in front of her. He didn’t say or do anything. He just stood there, staring at her eyes. His demeanor was strong and sensual.
Julia swallowed hard as she felt her heart pounding loudly against her chest.
The silent room and heavy tension between them made Julia feel like she was sitting on a hot stove, not a bed.
‘No, Julia! Don’t give in easily. This isn‘ t you!‘ she scolded herself.
“Uh… I really can’t right now, Jared,” she trailed nervously. But before she could continue, Jared smirked, leaned forward, and brought his face close to hers. His gaze was so intense and captivating as if hypnotizing her.
“Of course, you can. Just wait for me. I won’t be long,” he murmured with his deep baritone.
Julia’s hands unconsciously tightened their grip on the bedsheets.
‘Damn. This is so dangerous. Why is this man so seductive?‘ she thought.
If he continued to be like this, she knew she won’t be able to control herself and follow everything he said.
Just as she was thinking, Jared slowly raised his arms, took off his suit, and hung it on the side.
Julia blinked. ‘Oh, my goodness. Is he really going to…”
‘Should he ask me first if I wanted to do this or not?‘
Julia stood up abruptly.
Jared turned to her, noticing her sudden movement. He smiled with a raised brow. “Are you getting impatient? Don’t worry. I’ll be quick.”
‘What? Who’s in a hurry?‘ Julia thought, wincing. He made it sound like she couldn’t wait.
“Well… I feel very sleepy right now, so I’m not in the mood to see any of your treasures. I swear!” Julia faked another yawn, thinking that her expression was quite tactful.
“Oh?” Jared‘ slow and seductive voice asked. He started to loosen his tie and took slow, heavy steps toward her.
Seeing his aggressive movement, Julia instinctively took a step back.
However, she had forgotten that behind her was the bed. The back of her knees touched the edge of the bed, making her grunt. Her legs went limp as she fell onto the soft mattress.
Before Julia could react, Jared had already zoomed toward her, invading her personal space.
He slowly reached out his hand and extended it toward her.
‘What is he doing? Will he undress me now?‘ Julia thought, panicking.
Julia’s wide eyes stared at his hand.
Jared noticed her reaction. His heart melted inside, finding her ultimately adorable.
He had just discovered this girl’s new side. Beneath her cool and intelligent personality hid a
