Chapter 13.2: Becoming jealous and angry
It was not difficult to overthrow the Ross Group with her capital and social connections in her previous life. But she felt that it would be meaningless. She wanted to use her current identity to let Vivien, that cunning woman, suffer the consequences and receive the deserved punishment for her doings. Also, let Carter know how shortsighted he was, being fooled by such a scheming bitch, and making him regret what he once did to her.
That was the proper revenge!
Julia’s ten fingers were rapidly tapping on the keyboard, leaving behind a trail of shadows. He would be shocked by the scene before him if someone were around then. Meanwhile, in the Ross Group, people were in the president’s office. It was Carter. The man was looking at the document he had in hand when suddenly, his assistant rushed in panic.
“Sir! Something big happened! By the looks of it, it’s not getting good.”
Carter wrinkled his eyebrows impatiently and didn’t look up. He continued to look at the document in his hand, “What happened?” He asked.
“The company system has been hacked-” Before his assistant could go further and explain, just those words were enough for him to realize the situation’s urgency. “What?!” Carter suddenly raised his hand, wrinkling the document in his hand. The next second, the notebook computer in front of him suddenly went black, with the characters “1” and “0” constantly beating. His eyes widened in stupefaction. His computer had also been hacked!
Carter was surprised in his heart that, for a moment, he did not know what to do. But he got up from his feet and ordered, “Quick! Let the technical department fix this! Let them track whoever this is!”
Ten minutes had already passed, but Carter’s face was still gloomy. He was looking at his notebook computer in front of him, which was still black, with an expression of intent on killing someone.
“Has the interception been successful yet? Are all the people in the technical department eating for nothing?” Carter raised his hand and fiercely swept the table, sweeping everything, including his laptop, to the ground. He was so angry that his violent tendencies were already showing.
Carlos, his assistant, was so terrified that he took several steps back and tried to utter things that could calm him down, “Sir! Top professionals have hired our company’s security system, and ordinary hackers cannot break through. In less than a minute, the other party broke through all the security systems. I think only that person can do this.”
“Do you mean the first hacker in the alliance, hacker J?” He asked warily.
“Apart from this person, I can’t imagine anyone who could break through the company’s system quickly.”
That being said, he knew that his assistant had a point. “Why did he do this? Our company never has a grudge against him. Did someone pay him to do this?” Carter furrowed his brows and asked.
“It could be.”
“Then who gave him this mission?” He could not help but utter loudly. Carter couldn’t figure out who he had offended.
“And to my knowledge, although this hacker J is the number one hacker in the alliance, he also has his own rules and will not easily attack the systems of other companies. Even if the other party offers a higher price, he still has his principles. Why did he take on this task this time?”
“I’m also wondering about this question,” Carlos said as Carter’s phone rang.
Upon hearing the sound, Carter took out his phone and peeked at it. After seeing that it was Julia calling, he hung up irritably and rolled his eyes.
On the other hand, Julia smirked in the comfort of the villa, sipping her coffee. ‘Hanging up?” She put her phone aside and continued to operate her laptop.
Soon, a row of prominent significant characters popped out of Carter’s notebook computer in his office.
“Answer the phone.”
