Chapter 125: Is Julia Pregnant?
“Yes,” Julia replied with confidence.
“But I’ve only been pregnant for a short while. How did you figure it out?” Maddie found it quite unbelievable.
“Because my master is a genius doctor! Otherwise, how did she earn the title of a miracle doctor?” Julia explained.
“Your master is your master. I wouldn’t find it strange if she could see it. After all, her medical skills are world–renowned. She can treat diseases that major hospitals can’t, and she almost always has a way to cure them. But you’re you. How long have you been studying with the Miracle Doctor?”
Maddie had many things she couldn’t comprehend about Julia’s apprenticeship under the Miracle Doctor. She had asked Julia about it before, but Julia always evaded her questions with vague
answers.
“Alright, let’s not talk about that. There’s a maternity store ahead. It looks pretty big. Let’s go have a look and get some things that the babies will need.”
Julia awkwardly changed the topic, her gaze falling onto Maddie’s belly.
“It’s settled. When the children are born, I will be their godmother,” she declared.
Maddie could tell that Julia didn’t want to discuss that matter, and even if she pressed on, Julia wouldn’t reveal anything.
Well, if Julia didn’t want to talk about it, there must be some reason why she couldn’t. Maddie decided not to push her.
“Julia, if you really love children so much, then you should have your own. I can see that your husband treats you well. Since you said I’d have three girls, why don’t you have three boys? Then we can arrange for them and be future in–laws. I won’t worry about my three daughters being bullied with you as their mother–in–law.”
Julia rolled her eyes helplessly. “Are you telling me to give birth to as many as I say? What am I, the goddess of creation or something? How can I conveniently have three boys because I said you’d have three girls?” she laughed.
“Just tossing ideas around, no biggie.”
As they chatted, the two of them headed toward the maternity store.
Unbeknownst to them, two individuals were tailing their every move.
“That lady there, she’s probably Yasmin’s wicked stepsister.”
“Hold on, let me pull up her picture. Yep, that’s a match. Their semblance is uncanny.”
“They just walked into that baby shop. Could it be Julia’s expecting?”
“Gross!”
These two people shadowing the scene were none other than Yasmin’s hardcore fans.
Amidst their awful bickering, a guy with a beer gut got in Julia’s way.
“Small world, bumping into you here.”
Julia eyed the creepy old man checking her out, and in a flash, she recognized him as Paul Andrew
the guy her biological father tried setting her up with on a blind date a while back.

Chapter 125: Is Julia Pregnant?
“Oh boy, he’s here! He’s freaking here!”
Quick as a wink, Yasmin’s diehard fans pulled out their phones, clicking away like lunatics. To them, this chubby pig–looking man was the one bankrolling Julia.
“Check this out. That guy’s face is like a pimple farm, his head’s shining like a light bulb, and hist gut’s about to burst his seams. Even if we turned off the lights, he’d still be unbearable! How the heck can Julia stomach this?”
Yasmin’s number–one hardcore fan was utterly disgusted.
Hardcore fan number two cringed, putting on a disgusted face.
“Money can really make the devil work overtime.”
“Wait a sec. I’ve seen this dude before. He’s like the big cheese at AR Corporation!”
“Time to lay it all bare! Let’s unmask this biatch!”
With that, the fanatics whipped those pics on Twitter, and it trended as soon as they hit the feed. In a conference room at the Brooks Corporation, while Jared was engrossed in a meeting, his phone buzzed with an incoming call from Henry.
“Jared, have you checked out those pics?”
“I’m in a meeting,” Jared responded, already moving to end the call.
“Julia’s under fire online!” Henry’s voice rang out urgently.
Jared paused, his hand halfway to hanging up. “What did you just say?”
“Oh, don’t wait for me to send you the snaps. Just pop open Twitter. It’s all there,” Henry urged.
Before Henry could say more, Jared had already pulled up Twitter and was staring at a paparazzi shot of Julia and Paul with a barrage of hateful threads and comments.
[So, he’s the one bankrolling that Julia, huh? Man, his appearance is something else, isn’t it?]
[You’ve got some guts. Remember that account shutdown spree a few days back? Aren’t you worried about getting axed?]
[Why should I be scared? I’m no big–shot influencer. And besides, I’m not alone in this. Even if AR Corporation’s flexing its muscles, can they ban all of us?]
[True that. Someone as shameless as Julia, the ultimate third wheel, deserves the public’s wrath. 1 hope she wears a bulletproof vest the next time she steps out!]
The temperature in the conference room was noticeably dropping. The higher–ups were puzzled, чnaware of the situation, but Joseph was in the know.
In Jared’s universe, no one else could stir his emotions so quickly besides Julia.
Joseph subtly leaned, angling his head to look at Jared’s phone screen.
As expected, It was because of Julia!
Jared got to his feet.
“The meeting is adjourned.”
With those words, Jared exited the conference room with resolute strides.
The senior executives exchanged glances, wondering what extraordinary event had provoked their boss’s sudden apocalyptic demeanor. Could it be that the company was about to collapse? Meanwhile, over on Julia’s side, she was still stuck dealing with Paul.
FUUMO
Chapter 125: Is Julia Pregnant?
Paul’s creepy gaze shamelessly traced Julia’s figure, his beady eyes oozing a disturbing vibe.
“You’re in my way,” Julia said, her voice drained of energy.
Paul hardly seemed bothered by her words; his lecherous grin only widened.
“Your family’s given you the boot now. So, where are you staying? If it’s a hassle, you can stay at my place,” Paul proposed.
“Listen here, do you have any idea who you’re talking to? Don’t even think about her, or you’ll regret it!” Maddie’s fist clenched, positioning herself between Julia and Paul.
Julia gently pulled Maddie aside, a subtle nod towards her pregnant belly, a signal to take caution.
“Mr. Andrew, you needn’t trouble yourself. I’m currently staying at Purple Garden Manor, which offers quite a comfortable living.”
“Purple Garden Manor? Haha-” Paul chortled twice, thinking Julia was joking.
Julia, living at Purple Garden Manor? Impossible. He couldn’t even get a foot in there.
“Miss Watson, I’m not married yet, so there’s still a chance for you. My suggestion? Seize it. Otherwise, you’ll regret it later. Once this opportunity’s gone, this shop’s gone too.”
“Eww-!” Maddie let out a disgusted noise, casting a disdainful gaze at Paul. “Hey, Grandpa, you’re older than Julia’s dad! And you still think so highly of yourself? Seriously, take a look in the
mirror.”
Maddie’s retort seemed to light a fire in Paul. “You little brat, say that again and see what happens!”
“I just said it. So what? Can’t I state facts?” Maddie shot back.
“You-” Paul’s hand twitched as if he was on the verge of striking Maddie.
Julia was quick to react, pulling Maddie behind her.
“You lay a finger on her, and you’ll pay dearly for it! Give it a shot! I promise you. The price will be excruciating!” Julia’s eyes turned icy and piercing, unflinchingly locking onto Paul. Her commanding presence radiated an aura of authority.
In that heartbeat, Paul found himself shrinking before Julia’s force.
The tense air lingered, a solid minute passing before Paul swallowed his fury.
Naturally, he did it to save face for Julia.
“Julia, I know I’m a bit older, but age has perks. We, old folks, tend to be better at looking after others than youngsters. I’m telling you, I won’t mistreat you. Let’s get hitched, have a wedding, and I’ll make you my wife. What do you say?”
