Chapter 120: Julia’s Hands and Feet Were All Imprisoned By Jared
Lost in her thoughts, Julia absently muttered to herself while her fingers unconsciously typed a sequence of characters on the keyboard.
“Still incorrect,” Julia grumbled, displaying a slight pout. Lost in her task, she had been hoping that Jared might use her birthday as the password for the safe.
“What else could it be?” Julia mused, her determination unwavering as she remained convinced that the Little Jade Buddha was hidden within the safe. She understood that the process would involve eliminating possibilities one by one, and she was prepared for the challenge.
However, just as Julia was about to make another attempt, her focused concentration was abruptly shattered by a voice echoing from the living room. Instantly, her movements froze, and she listened intently, her expression morphing into one of heightened vigilance.
“Dah, dah, dah-“The sound of heavy leather shoes ascending the stairs grew nearer and nearer. Could it be Jared returning? The measured gait ruled out the possibility of Shiloh, who typically wore sneakers. Thus, it must be Jared.
With urgency, Julia swiftly extracted the wire hook from the keyhole and pushed the wardrobe back into place.
Sensing an approaching presence, Jared’s hand came to rest on the doorknob. He detected a slight disturbance within the room and narrowed his eyes, listening intently. The silence only deepened
his suspicion.
The unexpectedness of the situation heightened Jared’s caution. Swiftly pushing open the door, he entered the room with decisive steps, poised to switch on the lights.
Realizing the direness of the situation, Julia acted swiftly to thwart Jared’s attempt to illuminate the room.
“Who’s there?” Jared’s words were laced with an icy and lethal tone. With Shiloh being the only other inhabitant of the house, the prospect of harm befalling his younger brother ignited a surge of murderous intent within him.
In an effort to halt Jared’s pursuit, Julia intervened and raced toward the window.
“Planning to escape?” Jared leaped forward, his grip tight around Julia’s wrist.
“Hmm.” Julia emitted a suppressed sound of discomfort as she winced from the man’s grip.
‘This voice…
Momentarily taken aback by the familiar sensation, Jared released his grip on Julia’s hand.
Seizing the opportunity, Julia extricated her hand and made a beeline for the window.
“Stop!” Quickly reacting, Jared lunged forward, attempting to grasp Julia’s shoulder and prevent her escape.
In her haste, Julia pushed against Jared’s shoulder, inadvertently stepping on an object and losing her footing. As a result, she stumbled, inadvertently causing Jared to topple to the ground.
Jared felt the unexpected softness of Julia’s form against his body, a sensation he had become accustomed to during their nightly encounters. The familiarity jolted him–it was her!
Amid his bewildered thoughts, he questioned her presence in his room at such an hour. “Why are you here, causing such a disturbance?”
Shiloh, awakened by the commotion, emerged from his room and directed his gaze toward the

adjacent door. Was his brother back? Could Julia be involved?
“Tsk, tsk, tsk. “Shiloh clucked his tongue in a speechless manner, commenting on the intensity of the situation. The house’s soundproofing was impressive, allowing him to discern the events taking place through two floors of doors.
“Indeed, Elder Brother. Julia’s so slender, and yet she doesn’t seem concerned about injuring herself,” Shiloh quipped, his tone carrying a touch of amusement. He dismissed the matter, considering that it didn’t concern him personally.
After rolling his eyes, Shiloh retreated to his room, opting to ignore the ongoing drama.
Recovering her wits, Julia hastened to disengage herself from Jared’s embrace.
However, Jared’s arm extended, encircling her waist and securing her within hist grasp. He refused to relent, tightening his hold on her form.
The proximity was overwhelming as Julia’s entire body pressed against the contours of Jared’s form. Despite the discomfort and pain, she dared not make a sound lest he deduces her true
intentions.
“Who are you?” Jared inquired, his voice deliberately cold and probing. As he scrutinized her closely, his suspicion was evident.
Choosing her words carefully, Julia refrained from responding immediately, instead plotting her next course of action.
“You won’t talk?” Jared’s voice persisted, his gaze unyielding.
Julia immediately responded by kicking his feet, yet the man anticipated her move, promptly shifting his position. He positioned himself atop her, immobilizing her legs and securing them tightly together, rendering her unable to budge.
The tension between them escalated as Jared’s eyes bored into hers, awaiting her response.
As Julia’s mind raced, she recognized her opportunity and propelled her upper body forward, making contact with Jared’s forehead in an attempt to disorient him.
The impact resonated with a resounding “thud,” both parties momentarily dazed by the collision. Seizing the opening, Julia propelled herself away from Jared, only to be ensnared once again before she could entirely escape.
Frustration mounting, Julia clenched her teeth and mustered her resolve. She leaned in, aiming to bite Jared’s chest as a means of escape.
A suppressed moan escaped Jared’s lips in response to the unexpected sensation. His reaction was surprising and slightly disconcerting, but Julia remained focused on her objective.
Capitalizing on his temporary distraction, Julia wriggled free from his grasp and raced toward the
window.
“Stop!” Jared’s voice echoed, his tone desperate and commanding.
