Chapter 22
‘Mark, we were just making a bet on how long Mae could endure before she took the initiative to look for you again. I already bet with Todd on that new Bugatti sports car. I’ve been thinking about that car for a very long time.”
“You’re betting on her?”
Belle was talking excitedly but was interrupted by Mark’s cold voice.
When their eyes met Mark’s cold gaze, the people who were talking excitedly immediately stopped talking.
They sensed that Mark was angry.
“I…we were just kidding. After all, she had been gone for four years. We were worried that she would pester you again…”
Belle was a little more courageous, and she could still resist Mark’s cold eyes.
“Keep your words to yourself.“. Mark said.
At this moment, the girl who had been holding back her words crossed her arms and walked to them. She glanced at Mark with a cold expression and said to the group:
“I didn’t see my sister–in–law… Oh, no, she’s already divorced from my brother. I should not call her that anymore, it’s a insulting for her.”
The person who spoke was Mark’s sister, Victoria.
Others were afraid of Mark, but she was not afraid.
After seeing her look at Mark with contempt, she looked at the group of people who were watching the fun and said:
“Didn’t you see that Mae didn’t even want to give some people a glance tonight?”
Victoria rolled her eyes elegantly, “You guys want to stand up for that bitch Jennifer again?”
“Shut up! Victoria!”
Hearing this, Mark was annoyed and scolded in a low voice.
“I won’t!”
Victoria snorted softly, “You idiots treat Mark like a treasure and think that everyone likes to stick to him. You have to bet with me.”
Victoria slightly rolled up her sleeves, revealing her slender and fair forearms. “I bet you if Mae comes to Mark, I’ll give you the latest car…”
Before Victoria could finish her words, someone tightly covered her mouth.
“My wife, be good. Take it easy. One car per person is still very expensive.”
David, the eldest son of the Meyer family, tightly covered Victoria’s mouth, afraid that this prodigal wife would say something that shouldn’t be said.
Victoria broke her husband’s hand from herself and glared at him.

“Aren’t you on my side?”
“No… No, I just think you’re more likely to lose.”
David smiled.
How Mae hung onto Mark back in the day was observed by this group of people. Otherwise, who would dare place such a reckless bet?
Only this foolish wife of his would dare to participate in this guaranteed–to–lose gambling game just to support Mae.
“Bullshit!”
Victoria was so angry that she shoved David back with her elbow and said to the group,
“If I lose, we’ll each have the latest sports car. If you both lose…”
Victoria sneered. “Send the sports car here. At that time, each of you will eat the car for me!”
“Okay, you are great. I’ve already recorded it. David; get your wallet ready.”
Everyone agreed without hesitation. The group of people started to jeer again. Only Mark did not say
a word.
Victoria still felt unfulfilled, so she walked up to Mark, raised her chin, and said loudly,
“Mae won’t want you anymore!”
