Chapter 132 No One Came
The lack of audience outside the building made the surrounding pedestrians whisper and gloat.

She hung up the phone, and disappointment was evident on her face.
Just then, another call came in.
“Mr. Filler, have you arrived?” Mia’s spirits lifted again.
But when she heard the apology from the other end, her heart sank once more.
“Ms. Soler, congratulations on the grand opening. But I’m sorry. My father suddenly fell ill today, and I need to go to the hospital, so…”
“Could it be so coincidental?” Mia thought.
It was the opening day of her company today, but her partners were held up by an emergency or a sick family member.
Then, the third call came.
“Mr. Lowe, are you…” Mia asked, as if she had anticipated it.
“Ms. Soler, I’m sorry. My wife goes crazy and suddenly wants a divorce, so I have to go to the City Hall. It’s our turn now. Talk to you later.”
Mia was devastated.

After the initial sorrow, she began to understand.

Just then, another call came, and the excuse was equally lame.
“Mr. Frazier, tell me the truth,” Mia demanded, “Is it because of the Pope family that you dare not
come?”
The caller went silent.

“Alright, I understand.” Mia hung up the phone and looked across the street.

Josh then got out of the car.
“Ms. Soler, why didn’t you inform me of the opening of your company?
“Mr. Bloom, I’m sorry I’m late.”
After receiving Leones’s notification, Josh rushed over immediately in his most expensive car. There was an uproar in the crowd.
“It’s the Shelton family!”
