Michaela gave a faint response and didn’t say anything else.
As they went upstairs, Michaela said she needed to go to the bathroom, and Simon offered to accompany her “Suit yourself,” Michaela said, rolling her eyes at Simon, who didn’t mind her coldness and followed her anyway.
When Michaela exited the bathroom, she found Simon waiting for her at the door.
“Your standing here might scare people off,” she said while washing her hands.
“Don’t you think it’s kind of a security measure?” Simon chuckled.
“If we really run into any trouble, you’ll probably need me to protect you,” Michaela retorted, shaking the water off her hands.
Simon thought for a moment, laughed, and handed her a towel. “That works too”
As the two were heading to the wedding venue, Simon commented, “Mason’s girlfriend looks alright, just a bit too much makeup”
Michaela stopped. “Didn’t you notice?”
“Notice what?”
“She is Celeste,” Michaela stated slowly
Simon was taken aback “Are you okay? You seem a bit off.”
Michaela shot him a glare “Are you questioning my professional skills?”
After thinking for a while, Simon had to admit that Michaela had never misidentified anyone before, her job was to recognize faces.
He recalled the woman he had just met. Her figure resembled Celeste’s, but her facial features were completely different. Was this possible?

Simon paused “So, you’re saying Mason’s current girlfriend is Liam’s ex–wife?”
“My guess is that Lyman Rowley has always wanted to give Leah Rowley to Mason He couldn’t refuse, so he let Celeste pretend to be his girlfriend. No one would suspect a face they ve never seen before, Michaela speculated.
Simon put his arm around her shoulder. “But you would, wouldn’t you?”
“It’s just a professional habit,” she shrugged.
Things are getting interesting, Simon chuckled “Do you think Liam will recognize his ex–wife?”
“What are you thinking?” Michaela shot him a glare.
“No, I’m just curious. Do you think his ex–wife would be mad if he didn’t recognize her?”
“I think he will recognize her.”
“You mean Liam can also distinguish the differences in facial bone structure?”
Michaela rolled her eyes at him again. “How could he not recognize someone he spent every day with?”
Simon paused and asked, “Can you tell the difference between me and Gavin Rowley?”
“How could I not? You two have completely different personalities, Michaela chuckled. Simon just laughed and didn’t continue the topic. He took out his phone and called Liam.
Liam had just landed and turned on his phone when Simon’s call came in.
“What’s up?” he asked as he picked up the call.
‘Aren’t you rushing back for Lyman Rowley’s wedding? Where are you now?”
“I’ve just landed. Il be there soon.”
“Are you alone? Did Celeste not come with you?” Simon asked
Liam had betually wanted to bring Celeste with him. He wanted everyone to know they were together, but since Celeste wanted to keep it a secret, he could only reply, “We’re divorced. Why should I bring her?”
Simon was confused. This was not what he had said when he asked Simon to delete Celeste’s private photos.
After all his actions, had he still not successfully become her “boyfriend” or “husband“?
Thinking of how Celeste had looked a while ago, Simon couldn’t help but smile, “Indeed, there are quite a few famous ladies here today. You might want to take a look around. By the way, Mason has found a girlfriend. You should catch up.”
