Celeste rubbed her ears, coughed and said, “After your case is over, I’ll take a leave of absence from the director. We should deal with the house issue to prevent endless problems.”
“Okay.”
Mason paused for a moment, took out two boxes of pastries from his bag and put them on the coffee table, “These are pastries from the company, they taste pretty good, I brought two for you.”
Hearing there was food, Trisha immediately ran over
“Wow! Basque cake!” She glanced at the box and immediately recognized that it was a particularly authentic brand, “Their Basque cake is really delicious! It’s just a bit pricey, your company is really loaded”
Mason smiled, “A female colleague ordered it, if you like it, next time I’ll have her order more and bring it to you.”
Before Celeste could speak, Trisha nodded in agreement, “Bring some cheesecake next time too, that’s also delicious.”

Celeste joked, “Compared to your Dr. Ledford, who is more handsome, Mason? Should I introduce you to each other? Mason is single too.” Trisha immediately put down the keychain, “Don’t talk nonsense, I don’t approve of your choice of Liam, and I don’t expect you to help me choose a boyfriend.”
She and Trisha perfectly illustrated what true friendship is they just didn’t approve of each other’s choice of boyfriend.
Trisha picked up the other box of pastries and said, “Let’s see if there’s one in this box. I’ll open it for you.”

Sure enough, there was another cake keychain in the other box.
Trisha was very happy. She originally thought there was only one and planned to give it to Celeste, but now there were two, one for each of them. She took out both of their keys, replaced them with the cake keychains, then took a picture with her phone, posted it, and couldn’t help saying. “Finally my turn to show off, my friend and I have matching keychains, let them all be jealous!”
Celeste was tying her hair, and she laughed, “So childish.”
Just as she finished tying her hair, Liam sent a message, “Why do you and your friend have matching ones, but we don’t have couple ones?”
This guy is even more immature than Trisha
She replied, “I have a question for you.”
Liam sent a well–behaved emoji.
Celeste texted, “Were you the one who sent the flowers on the night of Valentine’s Day?”
Liam was taken aback
She suddenly asked this question, she must have found out something.
He deleted the “yes” he had just typed and retyped: “No, I just signed for you at your apartment door”
Celeste was taken aback, she hadn’t expected him to just admit sa straightforwardly that he hadn’t ordered the flowers.
This immediately weakened her initial plan to get angry about the matter
“Why did you say it was you then? Today Mason asked me about it, I said it was you. Do you know how embarrassed I was?”
Liam frowned, “Just ignore him.”
“I should be ignoring you! Who uses other people’s flowers as a gift? Is this your way of wooing me?”
Liam scoffed, it was a coincidence that someone else’s flowers had been delivered to her door, he was already kind not to just throw them away.
But he still sounded a bit unsure, “I was in a hurry to see you and forgot to buy flowers. I’ll remember next time.”
Liam paused, then said, “Are you still feeling unwell? Do you want me to take a few more days off?”
Celeste was taken aback, she understood immediately what Liam meant.
