It was only later that he realized, just the term “pleasing to the eye” already indicated how special Celeste was to him.
If he were to tell Celeste all this, she might find reasons to deduct points from him, so he chose not to say anything.
He didn’t say anything because there was nothing to say, but if Celeste didn’t say anything, could it be because of her first love that ended after two weeks?
Celeste was the kind of person who would stir up someone’s emotions and then take no responsibility for it. She messed up Liam’s heart with a few words and then went back to watching the movie.
So, for the second half of the movie, Liam was not in the mood to watch at all. His mind was filled with thoughts about who her sexual fantasy might be about.
When they came out of the cinema, Liam was still frowning.
Celeste came back with the drinks and seeing him still in a daze, she put the cold drink against his neck.
The cool sensation snapped Liam back to reality.
“Do you want to see it again?” Celeste gave him a sidelong glance.
“Huh?” Liam didn’t understand what she meant by ‘see it again“.
“I didn’t expect you, who is usually so serious, to have the same taste as Mr. Francis, liking girls with good figures.”
Liam finally understood what she meant by “see it again“.
“Men, I understand.” Celeste felt uncomfortable inside, but pretended to be magnanimous on the outside.
Liam rubbed his forehead, feeling helpless, “Do you love to imagine things, consider your imaginations as facts, and then randomly label me?”
His words hit Celeste’s sensitive spot and she instantly became disgruntled, “When did I label you? You were staring at the female lead in the movie without blinking, did I see that wrong?”
Thinking Sydney was my first love and labeling me as a cheater, hearing rumors and considering yourself as a homewrecker, and because I touch you less, unilaterally deciding that I am impotent-” Liam listed them one by one
“Have you lost your mind? Lower your voice!”
Upon hearing the last point, Celeste hastily covered his mouth and glared at him.
Liam took the opportunity to kiss her palm, his lips against her hand, “Now, just because I looked at the characters in the movie a bit more, you think I am an animal who get aroused anytime. Am I really that shallow in your eyes?”
Celeste’s palm tickled as he spoke, her heartbeat becoming erratic.
“Then why were you watching so intently? The movie wasn’t even good!”
“Are you saying I didn’t study enough? I was learning, understanding more content, so I won’t hurt you-”
He was cut off by Celeste covering his mouth again.
“Quiet! Shut your mouth!” She blushed and glared at him.
Liam held her wrist and took the chance to kiss her palm again.
“When should we try it?”
“You haven’t even got full points yet, aren’t you thinking too far ahead?”
Celeste was once again glad that she suggested the points system. Otherwise, with Liam’s seduction, she might be able to guard her heart but not her body.
Speaking of points, Liam felt defeated again and became sullen.
“Did I earn any points today?”
“What makes you think you did anything worth earning points today? I got the movie tickets, I bought the drinks, I even guided you, who can’t see well, into the theater. What did you do? You only parked the car, and you parked so far away, so my feet hurt walking over.”
Liam was left speechless.
His master’s thesis was not as picky as Celeste.
Celeste’s eyes curved, her smile radiant
*So, are you regretting taking me out now? Back when we were together, I was trying so hard to impress your family that I was really holding myself back. But now, you’re seeing the real me. I’ve got a bad temper, I’m always stirring up trouble, and boy, do I hold a grudge, especially when it comes to my lovers. I can be sharp and ruthless. If you’re having second thoughts now, it’s not too late. I mean, you’re the big boss of Quantum, right? Why put up with this kind of crap?”
