Angel smirked coldly. “Your so–called well–bred daughter is still clinging to Liam after her divorce and is now involved with the only son of the Garcia family. She asked me to tell you that she wants you to properly calculate the estate of Caitlyn and the wedding gift she received from the Reed family. She’ll come to collect it some time, if you don’t cough it up, she’ll drag you to court.”
Shawn’s face turned pale, and he clenched his teeth, “Did I raise her all these years for nothing? How dare she make such a demand!”
Angel got a slap for her words, but since she had Helen’s protection, she snidely remarked “What’s stopping her? You divorced her mother while she was seriously ill, she’s been holding a grudge ever since.”
Helen gave her a stem look, “Shut up!”
Angel huffed and closed her mouth.
Helen said, “She’s quite something, asking for a settlement of the wedding gift? She’s divorced now, what wedding gift is there to settle? it should be between the Reed family and us, what’s she got to do with it? As for Caitlyn’s dowry, hasn’t Caitlyn’s hospital bills cost a pretty penny over the years? Does she think Caitlyn left her a pot of gold?”

She pressed the answer button.
“Celeste, it’s me”
As soon as Shawn started to speak, Celeste hung up and blocked the number
Seeing her hang up without hesitation, Trisha asked, “Was it a scam call?”
“Yep”
Just saw the disgusting Angel at the restaurant, and now Shawn’s calling. Is the whole family out to annoy me?
But Shawn didn’t give up, and over the next hour, he tried to contact her with several different numbers.
