Skyler’s face changed instantly, “Celeste, don’t ignore my good intentions!”
Celeste chuckled lightly, “First off, Kaylee and I have no ties. You know very well what our relationship was all those years. Secondly, she tried to harm me but ended up hurting someone else; why on earth should I plead for her? Also, this house is my boss’s; it has nothing to do with your son. If you want to argue, at least have some
evidence. Lastly…”
Celeste paused and suddenly her eyes turned cold, “You caused my infertility; do you really think I’m that forgiving to just let it slide?”
With each reason Celeste stated, Skyler’s expression became even more displeased.
She truly underestimated Celeste. She thought that after the divorce, Celeste would be discarded like dirt. But to her surprise, Celeste not only wasn’t discarded, she became stronger.
So strong that the once submissive and cautious Celeste now dared to confront her!
Skyler clenched her fists, took a deep breath to suppress her anger, and said seriously, “What do you want in exchange for your help?”

After bailing him out, Liam asked, “Why did you come?”
