Chapter 748
Nicolas was taken aback when her finger barely grazed the pot before he swiftly grabbed it.
“Are you out of your mind? That pot is scalding hot!”
Trisha was startled; the pain was slowly creeping up on her, and suddenly she burst into tears.
Nicolas quickly ushered her to the bathroom to rinse her hands under cold water.
As she cried, Trisha complained, “Your apology isn’t sincere; denying me meat was one thing, but now you’ve burnt me…” Nicolas opened his mouth to retort but then closed it back up.
What’s the point in arguing with a drunkard?
But his silence only annoyed Trisha more, “Why aren’t you apologizing to me?”
“Sorry.”
Nicolas muttered dismissively, then checked her fingers. They were a bit red, but there weren’t any blisters or burns.
Trisha frowned, “That’s it? Just sorry?”
“Isn’t ‘sorry‘ enough?”
Nicolas grabbed some toothpaste from the sink and applied it to her fingers. He’d heard toothpaste could soothe burn pain.
Turning around, Trisha grabbed his collar, her eyes hazy, “Of course it’s not enough! You’re the jerk who stole my first kiss. Why should I forgive you?” Drunk Trisha was surprisingly strong, pulling on his collar and forcing Nicolas to bend down and look her in the eyes.
He sighed, “What do you want then?”
Trisha frowned, “Let me think.”
She looked so serious that it was amusing. Nicolas couldn’t help but chuckle.
Two minutes later, Nicolas asked, “Have you figured it out?”
Trisha looked up at him, “I’ll pay you back in your own coin!”

“What?” Before Nicolas could react, Trisha yanked his collar, stood on her tiptoes, and planted a kiss on him. Nicolas’s eyes widened in shock.
He grabbed Trisha by the neck and yanked her off him.
Trisha’s feet dangled in the air as she squirmed and struggled, “Let go of me!”
Nicolas could feel a vein throbbing in his forehead.
He hoisted Trisha over his shoulder and dumped her back in her room.

Like a chicken on steroids, Trisha bounced right back up the moment he dropped her on the bed. She grabbed his shirt and pulled Nicolas down onto her, opening her mouth to bite him.
Reacting quickly, Nicolas blocked her mouth with his hand.
Trisha was so drunk she didn’t care what she was sucking on; she just kept going.
The sensation made Nicolas’s palm itch, and it made his heart flutter too.
As he was about to grab her neck, Trisha let go of him and wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, a smug smirk on her face, “How was that? Am I better now?” Nicolas was speechless.
Just as he was about to speak, his phone rang.
He pulled out his phone from his pocket; it was Liam calling.
He answered, “Hello.”
“Have you eaten? If so, bring an umbrella down.” Liam’s voice came through the phone, mixed with the sound of heavy rain.
Nicolas glanced out the window, realizing that it was raining and that it had been raining for quite some time.
“Where are you?”
“We’re at the west gate, about 300 meters south.”
“Wait for me,

Nicolas cursed before he could finish his sentence and hung up.
