Celeste held her phone away, waiting for the dude to finish screaming before saying. “Did they actually ask you out for a date.?”
Trisha mumbled, “Almost.”

Dr. Ledford’s name was Jace Ledford, a 28-year-old breast surgeon at the hospital.
Since adding Dr. Ledford’s contact, Trisha had been chatting with him a lot, asking him about his favorite food, books, movies, and stuff like that. She just wanted to get to know his interests and hobbles.

When Trisha tried to invite him to a movie, Dr. Ledford said he had a friend’s birthday party to attend that evening and might not make it.

Dr. Ledford was surprised, “Weren’t you going to the movies?”
Trisha lied without changing her expression, “Mr. Francis has been asking me for a while now. I don’t really like noisy places, so I was planning to drop off a gift and leave. But if Dr. Ledford is going, I could stay more longer.”
Dr. Ledford chuckled softly and said gently, “See you tonight then.”
Celeste couldn’t believe it, “You call that him asking you out?”
“Hey, it’s close enough! Anyway, you must take me to Nicolas’ party tonight!”
Trisha worked at Shining Entertainment, and Galaxy Games was their competitor. She and Nicolas were not close friends, only having met a few times and not exchanging greetings.
The closest they got was when Nicolas hooked up with a model from Shining Entertainment, who thought she had a backer and demanded to break the contract with her boss.
