Hearing that, Celeste’s hope that had just risen instantly fell again. She asked softly, “So it’s just a coincidence?”

Before leaving, she gave Elaine some money, but Elaine refused to take it. Celeste said, “Please take it. I don’t come here often, and it’s all up to you to take care of my mom. If you don’t take it, I feel guilty. If anything happens to my mom, please let me know right away.”
Elaine replied, “Of course, it’s my job.”

“You’re back.”

“I was wondering what happened to you, Trisha popped a cherry into her mouth. “Just try again another day.”

She sent Liam a message, asking if he was free tomorrow.

“Damn, are you serious? Star Showdown invited Sydney?” Trisha looked at the WhatsApp group chat with disgust, “The show must be crazy! She even capitalized on a major traffic accident. Has the internet lost its memory?”
Star Showdown was a popular variety show in recent years. Due to its massive popularity, it had become a favorite spot for drama
promotion.
Seeing someone you dislike on a show you like was a real turn-off. Trisha, unwilling to accept it, said, “It must be fake. Il see who leaked the news.”
