Celeste turned her head and saw Mason not far away, chuckling at her in the water.

Mason paused slightly, seeming a bit shy. He lowered his head, his eyelashes fluttering gently, his ears tinged a faint pink.

Mason maintained a respectful distance behind her all along.
After two laps, Celeste finally stopped.
Swimming after so long was really tiring. She would’ve given up after the first lap if it weren’t for Mason tagging along behind her.

Mason chuckled, “I used to participate in marathon swimming when I was abroad. Practiced for a long time. Guess it’s muscle memory.”

Celeste retorted, “I saw on your profile at the law firm that you also do skydiving and scuba diving. Aren’t you prone to headaches? Is it okay to do these extreme sports?”
Mason replied, “It hurts a bit when I’m doing sports, but I can handle it. Plus, the exhilaration after exercising just makes me ignore all that. It’s a great stress reliever
