After hearing all this, Celeste was silent for a moment before saying. “Such a shame”

Celeste slowly said, “I didn’t get to see her face when she heard Hanson ran off with the money. It must have been the most animated she’s ever been.”
Liam said, “Tomorrow is the third day. Any news from the kindergarten?”
Celeste shook her head, “No, everything is normal.”
“What does Hector say?”
“Mr. Hector said he’s calling the cops tomorrow. Let them handle it.”
Liam frowned, “If the cops go, wouldn’t that make things worse?”
“Mr. Hector said that’s exactly what he wants. The bigger, the better”
Liam was silent for a moment, “Going big, wouldn’t that affect you negatively?”
Celeste gave him a head rub and chuckled, “You’re the one who found me a lawyer Why are you doubting now?”
Liam said softly. I’m worried it’ll turn into something like the mall incident.”
Celeste said, “The kids and parents at the kindergarten are their bargaining chips. If I want to drive them off this land, this is inevitable. Mr. Hector has a plan. Even if I get some flak, if it stops Helen’s greed, it’s worth it.”
Liam pursed his lips, Tm staying here tonight”
Celeste was confused.
Liam added. “Until this is resolved, I’m staying here.”
Celeste was even more confused
Liam glanced at her and said, “I’m going to stay by your side to protect you. I won’t let you get hurt again.”
Celeste asked, “Trisha lives with me. How can you stay here?”
Liam said, “I won’t sleep in the living room. I’ll sleep in your bedroom”
