She hadn’t noticed the car before and thought it was a new car for the family. As she walked closer to the main house, she could hear the lively laughter and conversation in the living room.
When she reached the front door, she realized that there were indeed guests in the house.
One was Mason, and the other was a handsome young man about Mason’s age. He had an air of a scholar, but his tall and straight figure was not effeminate at all.
When Celeste and Liam entered, the young man was chatting with the old lady. Whatever he had said made the old lady laugh heartily. When she saw Celeste and Liam, she put away her smile and pointed at Celeste, saying, “Look, this is my granddaughter-in-law. Is it her?”
