Adriana said angrily, “How did she introduced me?”
“Didn’t you say you wanted to buy jewelry for Mrs. Celeste? How would you buy jewelry for her if you guys aren’t close?” The manager said.
Adriana was speechless. She pointed at the people around her fiercely and said. “You guys are a bunch of crooks! I’m gonna expose you to the media!”
Then she glared at Celeste and said bitterly, “Celeste, I’ll get back at you.”
Celeste waved the check and smiled, “Bye.”
Angel secretly chewed Adriana out for being so muddle-headed. She wanted to say something in her defense, but suddenly saw Liam standing not far away. She didn’t dare to speak anymore and followed Adriana quietly out of the jewelry store.
“Ms. Celeste, do you want to see any other jewelry?” The manager asked politely.
This jewelry store was owned by Nicolas. Liam had brought her here several times. The manager knew her well and helped her for this reason. After all, she still relied on Liam’s fame.
“Please wrap that bracelet for me. I want to give it as a gift.” Celeste said.
“Sure, please wait a moment. The manager said.
“Who are you giving it to?” Liam suddenly appeared beside her and asked, startling Celeste. She rubbed her ears and said angrily, “I’m giving it to your grandma”
Celeste added, “Of course, it’s for Granny Sienna.”
“You made a lot in commissions, but only bought your grandma something worth just over one-ninth of it?” Liam asked.
It turned out that he knew everything that had just happened!
“What’s wrong with it? I bought it with my own money, and I didn’t ask you for anything! Besides, grandma isn’t like you guys, measuring everything with numbers” Celeste said.
Liam looked at her, “Isn’t it you who measures everything with money?”
“I don’t want to measure everything with money either, but what else can you give me? You don’t want children, marriage… forget it, you don’t care anyway” She took the wrapped bracelet and walked outside, “I’d rather have money. It can at least give me a sense of security.”
Liam felt uncomfortable, “Having a child would give you a sense of security? Celeste, don’t you think a child would be a burden if our marriage doesn’t last?”
Wasn’t his child with Sydney a burden?
