Celeste’s face was stormy as she typed, “I’ll give you a chance to rephrase that!”
Liam could almost picture Celeste on the other end of the phone, gritting her teeth in anger.
Thinking about this, the corners of Liam’s mouth twitched upward. He responded while half–listening to his meeting.
“Didn’t you get that I was confessing my love?”
Was she unable to see clearly, or was there a problem with her comprehension?
“Insulting me is your way of expressing love? Do you have a misunderstanding about what love declaration is?
Liam replied, “When I said the food didn’t taste great, I meant I had tasted it. Even if it’s not good, I’m willing to eat it as long as you make it.”
Celeste’s lips twitched as she coldly said, “Your way of confessing is truly unique. If you hadn’t explained, I would have thought you were insulting me.”
Liam couldn’t help himself, “I get it. After all, your comprehension skills have never been strong”
Celeste smirked, “Who exactly had poor comprehension skills? Who had given him this confidence?”
Suddenly, she felt like she understood why Liam didn’t have many suitors.
Most people found his way of thinking hard to keep up with.
Celeste scoffed, “Are you coming home for dinner or not?”
“Yes,” Liam stopped teasing her, “But I might be late, there’s something at the company.”
“No problem, no matter how late, I’ll wait for you.”
At Nicolas Media Group, Nicolas Francis was engrossed in a video game in his office.
Liam texted him. “How are you spending Thanksgiving?”
Nicolas was puzzled. Liam had never asked about holidays before. What’s up with him today?
He replied. “T’ll go home for a meal, just to show my face, and spend the rest of the time with Trisha Colton.”
She won’t go home for the holidays, will she?
Nicolas thought for a moment, deciding to call her later to ask. If she’s going home, maybe he could tag along. He needed to improve his reputation with the elders.
Liam just responded with an “Oh, and asked, “Aren’t you giving Ms. Colton a present to add a bit of ritual feeling?”
Nicolas was even more surprised.
What happened to Celeste to have trained Liam so thoroughly? Does he even know what a ritual feeling is?
Nicolas replied, “Yes, I plan to give her a gift, but I haven’t decided what to give yet. Any suggestions?”
Liam casually said, “I’m not sure, she’s always the one buying me gifts”
Seriously!
He knew there was a reason why Liam suddenly asked if he was giving a gift. He was just flaunting his love life.
How concerted of him!
Before Liam could get too carried away, he sent over a picture of Celeste cooking. “She insists on cooking for me tonight | suggested eating out, but she refused I’m really worried about my stomach”
Nicolas‘ lips twitched, deciding not to indulge him anymore
He opened his photo album, sent dozens of pictures of dishes cooked by Trisha, and lazily said, “My girlfriend’s cooking is pretty good I’ll have her teach Celeste sometimes. Your stomach discomfort might have something to do with her cooking”
