Chapter 1046
Liam held her hand tightly, whispering. “Is it because you didn’t manage to buy the necklace that you brought me here to spend money, to make up for the disappointment?”
Upon hearing this, Celeste laughed uncontrollably. After a while, she said, “The first time I came to their store and saw those beautiful rings. I thought to myself that when I have a partner, I want to bring him here to buy matching rings.”
Liam wasn’t pleased, “Why are you only bringing me here now?”
Celeste replied, “Because you’re my partner now, not before.”
Liam was confused, “What was I before then?”
Celeste drawled, “A marriage partner? A meal buddy? A bed buddy? Something along those lines.”
Liam was speechless. He wished he hadn’t asked. ‘
“Aren’t you drunk?” Liam asked.
Celeste glanced at him, “Are you planning to take advantage of me when I’m drunk and do unspeakable things?”
Liam was more direct, “I prefer to do unspeakable things with you when you’re sober.”
Celeste said, “Deduct ten points”
Liam furrowed his brows, “Why does this scoring system still exist? Haven’t I already won you over?”
“When did you win me over?” Celeste quickly backtracked on her words, “We’re currently in the probation period. You haven’t officially won me over yet. Of course, I’ll deduct points if you’re not doing well.”
Liam suddenly didn’t feel like talking anymore.
Celeste pulled his hand and walked a short distance before suddenly saying, “Shawn is getting married.”
Liam was taken aback.
Celeste drawled, “He called me before we met up tonight. The date is already set. It’s next weekend.”
Liam came back to his senses. No wonder Letti was so emotional tonight, constantly mentioning Shawn.
“Are you going?” He asked.
Celeste nodded, “Of course, he invited me enthusiastically. I naturally have to go. I need to see with my own eyes the outcome of this immoral couple, for my mom’s sake.”
Liam pursed his lips, and after a few seconds, he murmured, “Don’t you think you don’t look much like Caitlyn?”
“I look like my grandfather.” Celeste confidently stated, “My mom said that my grandfather was a handsome young man. I must have inherited
his looks.”
Liam said, “I think your grandfather and you don’t look that similar either.”
“You even mistook me for Clair, so it’s normal that you can’t see the resemblance.” Celeste said.
Liam’s mouth twitched, “I told you I didn’t mistake you for someone else.”
Celeste didn’t want to continue the discussion, “I’m so tired. Let’s get a room. I want to see your abs.”
The words “Do you want to look for other relatives?” that were at the tip of Liam’s tongue were swallowed back down. He didn’t book a room, but took Celeste back to Pinecrest Manor instead. After all, her drama was currently airing, and she could be recognized at any time.
On the way, she fell asleep unknowingly. After Liam carried her back to the bedroom, he went to freshen up
However, halfway through, Celeste suddenly barged into the bathroom. Liam nearly jumped out of his skin. He thought she was going to the restroom, but she walked straight up to him. Just as she said she would, and started feeling his abs.
After she was done, she even patted his chest, assessing him like a drill sergeant, “Not bad, keep it up.”
Liam quickly grabbed this willful woman, nibbling on her ear, and rasped, “Just feeling my abs not enough for you? Want to give me a full–body -check?“
