Liam didn’t usually poke his nose into other people’s business, but the heart–wrenching sobs of a girl made him stop in his tracks.
She was sobbing quietly, not making much noise. But her trembling shoulders and occasional sniffles were enough to break anyone’s heart.
The staff member who was responsible for driving him around explained the situation when she noticed he had stopped. The girl was the one who had been harassed by a man at the convention and had slapped him in the face.

Liam asked, looking at her retreating figure, “How much was her paycheck?”

It was a few days later that Liam received a text from the female staff member, informing him of the result and thanking him for his valuable advice. He read the message and then forgot about it, only vaguely remembering the girl’s sobbing silhouette
