It’s not that Jane is making a fuss, it’s just that April looked embarrassing right now.
He has always paid attention to his image, he always made sure that his pretty face always look delicate and beautiful. Looking at his face right now, he has no makeup, his hair is half tied behind, and wearing a simple casual sports suit only.
His unpainted face was a little pale, lips had no color, his state right now is no different from her who was injured.
Unexpectedly, as soon as Jane questioned him, April felt nauseated and rushed straight into the bathroom in the ward.
After a burst of nausea and vomiting, the sound of flushed water followed and April came out of the bathroom with a distraught and pale face.

Jane looked at her intently, “What’s wrong with you, why are you vomiting so hard?”
“Don’t mention it, I happen to ate a lot a few days ago, and I don’t know what was wrong but I feel vomiting recently.” April waved his hand, and another surge of nausea came up.
Jane frowned while looking at April with her questioning eyes.
Why does she feel that things aren’t that simple as he said.
“Hi, I’m William, nice to meet you.”
Before Jane could sent William away so she could further talk to April, William already introduce himself greeting April with a modest smile.
Hearing William’s voice, April lifted his head and looked at William, who possessed a handsome face and a pair of gold–rimmed glasses hanging on the bridge of his nose, then he responded with a polite smile.
“Hello, I’m April!”
“Does Miss April has free time? Can I invite you to a dinner?” William said attentively.
Hearing those words, Jane’s eyes almost jump out of the socket and looked at William, who was very eager and thought of what he said just now to let her introduce to him a beautiful woman like her.
He couldn’t be taking a fancy to April, does he? She thought.
It’s not that Jane like William, nor she opposed to William in taking a fancy or pursuit April. The main reason is that April’s life and background is a bit complicated, and there are still unclear entanglements between him and Matthew.
If William happened to like April, then it wouldn’t be a good thing.
“Yes, but I don’t have much appetite recently.” April responded with a smile while looking at his handsome face. April did not refuse either.
“Miss Middlam, there’s nothing to worry, I’m a doctor, and I’ll prescribe some medicine for you to relieve your nausea and make sure you have a good appetite.” William assured earnestly.

Hearing the words, April’s eyes lit up, “Really, that’s great, please help me prescribe those medicine, I always love to eat delicious food, but I can’t eat anything in this situation, it makes me feel so uncomfortable.”
While saying that, she got up from her sit and was about to follow William for a check up.
Seeing April’s enthusiast attitude, Jane couldn’t help but look a little weird.

Jane watched the two leave helplessly, her face displayed a complicated look.
At night, Drake came, and Jane immediately told him about Annie.
After Drake heard the words, his face became unpredictable, and didn’t respond for a while.
“What? You don’t want to investigate your white moonlight?” Jane stared at the silent Drake, thinking that he didn’t want to involve Annie in the investigation.
Drake came back to his senses and quickly explained his thoughts to Jane, “What are you talking about, I just don’t understand how did she get involved with those kind of men.”
“Hmph, it must be her hate towards me. It’s not a surprise anymore since she attempted to kill me several times already.” Jane didn’t find it strange at all.
Since Annie appeared in their lives, she has been targeting her, framing her, and torturing her in various ways. It is not surprising that she wants her dead this time.
“I’ll have someone investigate this matter, don’t worry about it.” Drake said softly and held Jane’s
hand.
After Drake said that, Jane didn’t continue with the conversation anymore. After all, it was Drake’s white moonlight. No matter what, she was the person Drake once loved. Jane can’t force Drake to do something to Annie further anymore.
Annie has done so many terrible things just to hurt her, it’s best not to appear in front of her in the future, otherwise, she will not let her go for it.
However, to Jane’s surprise, Annie’s father visited her the next day.
Looking at Mr. Carlton who appeared in the ward, Jane’s expression was indifferent. The three little guys are very wary when they saw a stranger appearing suddenly.
Seeing the three little guys, Charles Carlton displayed a loving smile on his face, and even greeted the three little guys, but their was no different from the mother as well.
Zachary have known Charles already, after all, he was treated as Annie’s son for many years, so he has met Charles and became his grandfather before.
“It’s been a long time since I saw Zach, you’ve grown already, come here and give grandpa a hug.” Charles said with a smile.

lying on the hospital bed, and then said in a childish voice.
“I can’t call you grandpa anymore, I already have a mommy.” Saying that, Zach looked at Jane who was on the hospital bed.
Hearing the child‘ words, Charles’s smiling face froze for a moment, but he still tried his best to compose himself and said calmly.
“It’s okay, at least you called me grandpa before.”
Charles didn’t know that Annie asked Jane to have a child with Drake, but he knew that his daughter had a physical problem and was barren, and he also knew that Drake was married and had children.
After all, he has been busy with work all these years, and he doesn’t care much about Annie. More importantly, although Annie was his daughter, her mother Mildred is not the woman he wanted to
marry.

After Charles spoke, Zach didn’t talk to him anymore.
Charles understood the child’s silence, and didn’t say anything more. Instead, he looked at Jane who was lying on the hospital bed, and asked with concern.
“I heard you were injured, are you okay?”
Jane’s attitude towards Mr. Carlton wasn’t jovial. After all, she had made it clear before that there was no need for them to meet again.
It was already rude for Charles to come here without invitation, and Jane naturally didn’t feel like accommodating him.
“Thank you Mr. Carlton for your concern. I’m fine. If there’s nothing else, please go back as I needed
rest.”
Jane thought that he understood her intention already when she saw Charles’s complexion when she chased him away. It was his first time to be treated insignificantly, but thinking of the purpose of his visit, Charles still pretended not to understand.
