Aliza pov
My head pounds hard and pain is all I feel, my mouth is dry and all I want is some water. Trying to open my eyes but my eyelids feel so heavy, and they are swollen.
Trying to remember what happened and where I am, it takes me a short moment to remember the accident and Bill. The last thing I remember is Liz’s voice and someone carrying me.
Trying to move my fingers they are stiff and it’s painful, but I have to try. I need to get up and see where I am.
It’s hard to take a deep breath and my whole chest hurts, remember the crash with the car and I didn’t wear a seatbelt. I’m not surprised I’m this way right now.
Forcing my eyes to open, I manage to get the eyelid a small bit up when I have to close them again because of the bright light. I try to get them open again when I hear some movement to my side.
“Aliza! You’re awake! Hold on!” I hear Liz’s voice when she grabs my hand and I see the lights in the ceiling being turned off. It’s a relief for my eyes and I manage to get my eyelids open.

looks happy and relieved.
“Fuck, you scared us all! Let me get the doctor for you” she says and I hear her press a button before she looks back at me. I try to move on the bed bud it hurts too bad.
“Take it easy!” she says when I try to speak or just get my mouth to open, it’s dry like a dessert and I have a hard time swallowing.
“Aliza, do you need water?” she says and I try to give her a nod, but I’m not certain I have moved my head enough.
I hear the door being opened and some feet walking around in the room when suddenly the lights are turned on again in the ceiling. Closing my eyes for a short moment to try and adjust when I feel a hand on my forehead.
Opening my eyes, I see a man in a doctor’s coat. He stated to lift my eyelid before he
with a light. I have no idea what he is doing

“Here, I got some water!” Liz says when he starts to trace his fingers down my neck before he lifts the blanket, I’ve got on and start to examine my ribs. It’s painful and I grunt when he touches a bad place.
Liz lifts my head a bit before she places a straw to my lips and I try to suck up some water, everything hurts and I don’t feel much of a relief when I get the water in my mouth. Swallowing I take a few more sips before she takes the glass away from me.

“Do you remember what happened?” Liz asks and I know most of it.
“Yes,” I manage to squeeze out when the doctor place the blanket back
over me and turns to look at me.
“You’re lucky Darian came when he did and got you to mark him or you wouldn’t still be here!” the doctor says and I look at him in chock. I thought all that was just a dream, but I marked him?
“I marked him?” I say in a whisper when Liz takes my hand in hers.
“Yes, you did. He refused to let you go and manages to make you mark him.” She says and I try to remember the dream I had, but I was sure it was just a dream. I feel a bit different than I usually do, stronger!

“Your body got badly hurt in the crash, and you would have been dead without the bond.” the doctor says and I turn to look at him.
“You have several broken bones in your body, four broken ribs and one punctured lung. Inner bleeding and multiple organ failure, the head wound that’s causing a swelling on your brain and the stab wound in your stomach. A bit longer without the bond and you would be lost!” he says and I just look at him and try to take all this information in.
“You are healing, but it will take some more time before we can admit you from here. You have to rest and we will come back and check on you later!” he says
“Toilet?” I whisper and feel I need to use one.
“Darian has a guard outside to help you with all you need, I will get him in here for you!” he says and I try to move on the bed, but my legs hurt when I try to move them.
“You can’t walk yet, one of your legs is broken. I’ll get him in here to help you” he says and walks out of the room while a nurse stands by a door to the side and opens it when I see a large man in the doorway the doctor went out from.
The man gives the nurse a nod before he walks over to the bed, he looks to be around fifty. I try to stop him by raising my hand, I don’t want him to be with me inside the bathroom.

“He will only carry you inside the bathroom and I can help you or the nurse if you want!” Liz says like she understands what I’m thinking.
I stop struggling and let him lift me from the bed, even if he is gentle it hurts everywhere!
“Just place her down on the floor by the toilet.” I hear Liz say once we come inside the bathroom. He places me down on my feet and pain shoots out from my right leg and I almost lose my balance when Liz carefully holds me around my waist when I lean forward and place my hands on the sink.
“Can you sit on the toilet by yourself“?” she asks and I give her a nod. Holding on to the sink by the toilet I slowly sit down while she is helping me in place before I hear the door closes and they both leave me alone.
Emptying my bladder, it feels better and I breathe out and take my time. Everything goes slowly when I try to get up once I’m done and wash my hands and everything goes easier, surprising me.
Slowly jumping forward on one leg while I hold on to the sink I stop in front of the tap and start to wash up. Lifting my head I look into the mirror and almost fall back by the sight of me.
I can’t even recognize myself in the mirror, by the look of how swollen my face is and how blue it is. I shouldn’t be alive! Lifting my arm slowly to my head, it is hard but it gets easier to move my body by each passing minute.

Chapter 908
Touching the bandage, I start to take it off, want to see the damage on my head and what scars I will get when I see the door open behind me and Liz comes walking inside.
“You know he came back and his wolf licked all your open wounds to help you heal before he left again.” she says and walks up behind me when she helps me take off the bandage from my head. Seeing it bruised but not an open wound on my forehead or anything, I’m healed and don’t have any scars.
“Where is he?” I ask and look at her through the mirror when she averts her eyes from mine.
“He left. He couldn’t stay in here!” she says and my heart drops by her words.
