Aliza pov
I have no other choice, I have to go back to my house.
Turning the car around I hit the gas pedal and quickly accelerate on the road.
“What is it?” I hear Liz say, but my mind is occupied with trying to figure out where it should be. How could I have been so stupid and kept it?
“Aliza, tell me what’s going on!” Liz says again and I turn back down the road that leads to my house.
“I need to go back and search for something important!” I say and speed faster down the road, hoping there won’t be a wild animal that jumps out on the road in front of me.
The trip back goes fast and once we reach the house I hit the brake and just turn off the engine before I’m rushing out of the car and run over the lawn to my porch.
“Wait, I’m coming with you” Liz shouts from behind when I quickly unlock the door and get inside.

Trying to remember where I could have put

I’m certain it’s still in a box in the basement, it has to be.
Walking over to the door that leads down to the basement I hear Liz walking behind me in the hallway and turn on the lights, I didn’t even realize I forgot to turn it on.
Opening the door I get down quickly on the stairs and head for the room I have boxes stored with things I have put away. I’m saying a silent prayer in my head they weren’t down here and searched as well, but I didn’t get to be that lucky when I see the boxes turned upside down on the floor and everything is laying scattered as the rest of the house was.
“No, no,” I say and frantically start to search among all the things.
“You have to tell me what’s wrong!” Liz says from behind me and I feel how my hands start to sweat.
“I…I need to find a box, it’s a small white box and it has something important inside!” I tell her while I’m picking up stuff and throwing them in an empty box so I can get some stuff away.
“Alright, I’ll help you search” I hear her say before she walks inside the room with me and starts to pull on boxes from the other side.
Both of us are occupied with searching and throwing all the things we lift from the floor into the boxes. A long time goes by before Liz shouts
to me.

“Is it this one?” she says and holds up the white small box I was looking for. Taking large steps over the stuff on the floor to reach over to where she stands.
Grabbing the box from her hand it’s empty and my blood freezes to ice at the sight.
“Where did you find it?” I ask her when she points to a place on the floor.
“Right here!” she says and I squat down and start to search the place.
“Aliza, you have to tell me what it is,” she says when I find the other things that were inside the white box as well.
“Fuck, NO!” I shout out and throw the things to the side when I stand up and hold a hand over my mouth, this can’t be happening. All these years I have lived in peace and everyone thought I was dead, only to come to this just because I kept it.
I feel her hands on my shoulders when she starts to shake me hard and I turn my head and look at her.
“Now you are frightening me as hell, what the fuck is going on?” she yells at me. I have to blink several times before I manage to tell her.
