Aliza pov
Sitting in my office I’m lost in my thoughts, have a lot I should be doing instead but my mind keeps wandering away with me.
“I think it’s time you tell me what’s going on with you today!” Liz says and walks inside my office and shut the door after her before she walks over and takes a seat in front of my desk in a chair.
Sighing, I pull my hair over my shoulder and sit back in my seat, this morning I had to fix my hair again with Frederic and I would rather just have pulled it up in a bun on my head but he refuses me to go around with it.
“I just have a lot on my mind!” I say and turn my head to look out the window.
“Yeah! I figured as much, but now you have to tell me!” she says and I turn to look her way, I told her everything that happened in his office yesterday when I got back.
“This morning when we came out of the house he where there in his wolf and interacted with Noah. I let them meet!”

I say and see her smile.
“I think it’s good you did, he might be a good father! A shitty mate but a good father!” she says and she can be right about it.
“I can’t forgive him and accept him as my second chance mate, not after what he did!” I say when she leans back in
her seat.
“I’m not telling you to! But Noah has a father that wants to meet him and I think you should let them bond on your terms! We both know Noah has Alpha blood from both his parents and he needs someone that can shift and help him when he will need it! They are growing up faster than we want!” she says and I know he is going to need help to understand it all. I can’t shift and help him in any way.
“I know you are right! I haven’t told Darian I have no wolf and I can’t have him showing up on my doorstep whenever he feels like it!” I say and turn my head to look at the watch, I need to go shopping in a moment but this whole day has been a mess since this morning. I left his wolf standing on my driveway with the saddest eyes I have ever seen but it can’t be helped, he shouldn’t have just shown up at my house!
“I hear you! But I’ve got an idea!” she says and gets up from her chair and starts to walk towards the door.

“Care to tell?” I ask her when she stops by the door and turns to look at me.
“I’ve got a cancellation right now and you’re coming with me!” she says and has a smirk on her lips. I know whatever she has in mind it will be good and I can’t miss it!
Chuckling at her I turn off my computer and grab my bag before following her outside my office. She is quick to change her clothes before she comes rushing over to me.
“Ready!” she says when Heidi walks over to us from the kitchen.
“Here I have the list! And I need to make a quick errand to the other side, I can go with you!” She says when she stops in front of us.
“Of course! Come on” I say when we all start to walk out of the entrance doors and head for the car, his men walk behind us while some stand beside their car and I get angry just at the sight of them.
“Oh! Private guards today!” Liz says and winks at one man while I walk past her and over to the car before unlocking it and getting inside.
When they all are sitting in the car I start it up and start to drive away.

“I could have them around us all the time!” Liz says and laughs while I sigh and look in the rear mirror. I know there is no point in trying to get away today.
“Speak for yourself! They are only getting on my nerves!” I say when we drive down the road and Heidi put on the radio.
“The usual stop first?” I ask when I turn towards the store.
“Yes, it’s best we take the meat first!” Heidi is quick to answer when we drive to the store.

Chapter 39B
Our shopping trip goes fast when we are done in the last store we need groceries from the note. Placing the last bags in the back of the car I close the door and look at both
of them.
“Now what?” I ask when Liz takes the key from my hand and starts to walk over to the front seat.
“I’m driving to the next stop!” she says and we get inside, his men follow after in the car and thankfully none of them have intervened in our shopping trip.
Liz drives over to a store I can’t see what we are supposed to get inside there.
“What do we need here?” Heidi asks when Liz parks the car and we get outside, standing in front of the store I turn to look at Liz and she gives me a wink before she starts to head for the entrance.
“Follow and you will know!” she says with light steps when she walks over and opens the door, holding it open for us we get inside and stop to look around.
“Who of you have a pet?” I ask and look around in the pet

“You!” Liz says and starts to giggle, now I know she is up to

“You have a pet? When did you get one?” Heidi asks and looks questioning on me, I just shrug my shoulders in response. Have no idea what she is talking about when I see her start to walk inside the store and I start to follow after with Heidi beside me.
“I don’t have a pet!” I say when Liz stops by a shelf and starts giggling when she pulls a bag off the shelf.
“Oh! But you do and I bet Noah would love to feed him!” she says and laughs when she starts sniffing at a bag and almost gags at the smell. Then I connect the dots to what she is trying to tell me.
“You suggest Noah feed him some dog food?” I say and raise an eyebrow at her, I know dog food is disgusting for a wolf to eat and I feel bad for his wolf to be forced to eat it. At the same time, Noah would love to serve him some good
food.
“Don’t tell me it’s not a good idea and this way you might be able to be free from his surprise visits!” she says and takes out another bag when Heidi starts to laugh beside her and grab a can of something before she hands it to me.

“This stuff is so disgusting!” Heidi says and laughs while I
start to look at the things they have handed to me. I start to chuckle at the thought and to be honest, I would enjoy watching him be forced to eat it.
“Take some dog treats as well!” I say and walk over to grab some more cans when they laugh and take what smells the worse from the shelf. I can’t sense the smell as well as they do from a package and just have to trust them they chose
the worse.
With several bags of dog food and treats, we walk out of the shop laughing and having a good time when Heidi stops in her track and follows a man on the other side of the road with her eyes.
“What is it?” I ask and look at the way she is fixated when she stands in silence and a growl is heard from her. She never growls and whatever is going on here she doesn’t like the man.
“Heidi!” Liz says in a hard tone and I see her grab her arm when Heidi is about to shift right on the sidewalk in front of all these people.
“Stop!” I hear Liz shout when I swirl around to look at them when the man disappears inside a restaurant.
