Chapter 38
Aliza pov
Standing in my kitchen with a new cup of coffee I try to have my brain to wake up. When I got back home yesterday, there was so much I had to do, and once Noah where in bed I was up to long after midnight to wash clothes and clean the house.
Taking another mouth of my coffee, I place the cup down on the sink and wash Noah’s plate while he is looking at the tablet by the table. I decided to take a soft morning at home before going to work.
Drinking the last of my coffee, I wash the cup and dry my hands on the towel before walking over and taking my bag with me. Holding Noah’s jacket in my hand I walk over to put it on him before I turn around to make sure everything is turned off before we leave.
“Time to go!” I say to Noah when he gets down from his chair and head for the door. Walking after him I open it and remember I have forgotten my phone in my bedroom, left it there to get charged and need it with me.
“Wait here! I’m just getting my phone!” I say and turn around to rush up to the second floor, grabbing my phone

place it down‘ in my bag before I walk out of my room and head down the stairs.
When I come to the door Noah isn’t where he was
supposed to stay, I know his men are outside and guarding beside the tree line so I’m not worried but I hurry out of the door when I stop in my track from the sight in front of me.
Noah is walking on the lawn towards a big black wolf with his head placed low and his ears are pointed back in submission, my breath hitches in my body and I can’t move from my spot when I see Noah reach out his hand to the wolf and takes a slow step forward.
Anger flares inside my body and I have to take deep breaths and not lash out at the wolf, I know Noah would be upset and none of this is his fault. I have to be the bigger one here!
I see Noah being insecure about the last step and reaching the wolf but he has nothing to be afraid of since it is his father. I’m not surprised Darian would come here and try to see him, I know I’m wrong to refuse my son his father but I’m just too angry and shocked at the moment to think clearly and handle the situation better!
I sigh and take a step closer to the railing when I see Darian’s wolf laying on the ground and start crawling the last bit over to him. He is still as tall as Noah and his wolf is more like a big bear than a dog.

Noah reaches his little hand over the wolf’s head and slowly starts to pet him while I see the wolf reaches over and starts licking Noah in his face. The sight in front of me melts my heart and I already know his wolf loves his pup.
Hearing Noah laugh when his wolf’s tongue licks him on his face is wonderful to hear even if it takes all my strength to keep calm.
I let them have a moment before I’m taking him from there, I don’t have to be cruel and at the same time I punish Darian for what he did I’m depriving Noah of his father.
I have to do something about it later!
Turning around I close the door and lock it before I start to walk down the stairs before I sit down on the last step to look at them. Noah is laughing out loud and once he sees me sitting on the stair his face lit up with the biggest smile.
“Mommy look what I found! A dog and he has no collar, can we keep him? Please Mom!” he says and rushes over to where I’m sitting while Darian’s wolf starts to walk over to where we are. I see his wolf walking slowly forward with his eyes locked on me when Noah gets over and tries to reach up to his head but the wolf is too big.

“Mommy see! The dog is nice!” he says and I shake my head a bit at the wolf when he turns his head and licks at Noah’s face again.
“You know that’s a grown up dog and I can guarantee he belongs somewhere else!” I say when I hear the wolf snort at my words, but it won’t stop me when Noah comes walking over beside me.
“But he doesn’t have a collar!” he says and tries to convince me. Stroking my son’s cheek I turn to look at the wolf.
“He probably just lost his collar and his owner would be very sad if he is gone!” I say when I see the wolf’s eyes flicker and I know he is probably angry at my statement but holding it together for Noah.
“But what if it’s lost?” Noah says when the wolf stands up and takes a step closer to where we are.
“I bet it will find its way home!” I say when I see the wolf’s eyes glance over and I hear some rustling coming from the bushes. Turning my head that way I see another wolf standing behind a tree and looking our way, guess it’s his beta or gamma over there.
A car comes driving down the road and I know it’s his men

who are here to follow us over to work. I sigh when I feel a tongue licking my hand and tingles playing on my skin. I snap my head to look at him.
His wolf is standing right in front of me and his face is right beside mine when I hear him sniffing at me.
That’s my sign to get going.
“Noah we have to go!” I say and quickly rise from my seat and take his small hand in mine while I start to walk away towards the car.
Unlocking it I help Noah inside the back seat and fasten his seat belt.
“Mommy, what if the dog is still here when we come home?” Noah asks and I take a deep breath
“We will see once we get home!” I say and pet his cheek before backing out and closing the door after me.
Walking around the car to the driver’s seat I’m about to open the door when his wolf grabs my arm in his mouth and pulls on it while he whimpers.

asking me to let down my walls. It was Darian’s choice to reject us and his wolf got punished for his actions as well.
But I can’t give him what he wants! No one wants to meet her more than me, but she is gone!
He gives my hand a lick and a part of me wants to reach over to his head and bury my hands into his thick fur, but that’s just the bond that’s stirring in my body and giving me these feelings!
