Aliza pov
These last two weeks have been fantastic, every day we talk for hours about their lives and look through their photo albums. I take every opportunity to talk with them,
unfortunately, Martin has become worse for everyday and I know he won’t be here much longer.
At night I can’t hold my tears back any longer, seeing thèm get worse in front of me when this life with them is the best I have had since my father died is hard. I wish I could stop the time to get more moments with them but since it’s not possible I try to take all my time to be with them and make it count.
“Aliza you’re telling me all this will be yours!” Liz says with a shocked tone when we walk around in the restaurant part with another mother we have met at the meetings.
Her name is Heidi and she gave birth three weeks ago to a little girl.
“Yes, it appears so!” I say when we start to walk over to the
kitchen.

“Then what are you going to do with it?” Heidi says and starts to open the cabinets in the kitchen when we look around for a bit.

“I have no idea!” I tell her and start to walk over to the other room where they started to build a reception desk but that’s all.
“What’s this then?” Liz says and walks over to it.
“When they brought this building they had planned to start a bead and breakfast but their restaurant took off and became so popular that they didn’t have time for anything else!” I say when I hear the door to the restaurant getting open and footsteps walking in.
“Hey, mommas what are you doing?” the voice says and I instantly smile at him. He is a friend of Liz and a coworker and since the day I meet him at the spa when he fixed my hair, we have been good friends. He is g*y and his sense of humor and free spirit mind is something else.
“In here!” Liz shouts out to him when he comes walking inside to where we stand.
“Big mommas! Looking good!” Frederic says and walks over to where I stand and I know he is going to protest about my hair before he does.

“What have you done to your hair girl! A bird’s nest is
looking better than that!” he says and starts to untangle it with his fingers.
I don’t have any energy to care about my hair whatsoever, I only wash it and place it up in a messy bun to be a problem for another day.
“It’s more like what I don’t do with it!” I tell him when he pulls on my hair.
“You better come and fix this mess before you going to deliver and you should wax your kahuna as well!” he says and looks down at my vagina. I just roll my eyes in response to him.
“I have no intention of waxing my kahuna! It’s only the doctor who is going to see it anyway and I don’t care!” I say and try to get him to stop pulling at my hair.
“What do you think of this place?” Liz says and gets him to drop my hair when he walks over to stand beside her.
“What a room!” he says and throws his hands out, I know what they think with this high ceiling and big windows that get this room light and beautiful.
“I have no idea! They had planned to use it as a bed and breakfast before!” I say while walking past them and taking

the stairs to the second floor, the room up here is just as beautiful if not more with its big windows and high ceiling. Three big crystal chandeliers are hanging from the roof and I hardly think they have ever been used.
To the side of the room are several smaller rooms down the hallway until there is another stair with more rooms one floor up.
I would say the rooms could use some paint but the lights are beautiful and the curtains can easily be changed to something new. Some old furniture is placed in the rooms but that’s all! I like them just the way they are.
“No girl! Why don’t you fix this place up! I can work here and create my masterpiece while Liz here can use a room for massage.” Frederic says and walks around and looks at the rooms.
“Since I’m a chef I can take the kitchen!” Heidi says when her daughter starts to cry a bit, to me I don’t see how it ever would work with all of us having small babies and only Frederic without.
“The place is too big and we are going to have our hands full when they decide to arrive!” I say and rub my swollen belly when I get kicked hard again and this time the pain gets worse for a minute, I have to steady myself at the wall to wait it out.

“What’s wrong!” Liz says and walks over to where I am while I wait it out.
“I just got kicked in my rib and my stomach got hard!” I say when I can breathe out again.
“Are you sure?” Liz asks when I let go of the wall and give her a nod, the pain is gone and we make our way over to where Frederic stands and looks in the big room.
“But can’t you see it momma!” he says and throws his hands out in the air before he starts to explain where everything should go and paint the room with his words as he moves along. He is outstanding when it comes to decorating and I love to see his enthusiasm over a room.
“I can see it but we are not going to have the time to fix the place up and run it with small babies around us!” I say to him in response when I get pain in my stomach again, holding my breath I try to wait it out when I feel a hand on my arm.
“How often are they coming?” I hear Heidi say and this is only the second one.
“It’s just the second one, has only had one before!” I say when I stop and I can take a deep breath.
“It looks like contractions to me and it might start soon!”
