Chapter 131
Aliza pov
I feel through the bond. Darian wants me to take charge of my position and become this pack’s Luna right now. He wants me to make my first decision in this pack, and I instantly feel dry in my mouth.
I never got to lead my old pack and only observed from behind, but laws and how a pack works I’m not foreign to. Just that I didn’t think it would come this soon.
The whole room is silent, and I feel everyone’s eyes on me when I turn my head and look at the two young women on the floor.
What they said hurt me, but in their defense, they didn’t know I had marked Darian, and he hadn’t introduced me to the pack yet as their Luna, so killing them is way too hard in my eyes.
Turning my head to look at Darian, he still stands there with his whole attention on me. I can’t get out of this situation without making a
decision, I know that.
“They didn’t know I was their Luna, therefore, I think the punishment is too hard,” I say to Darian when I hear another sob coming from the women on the floor.
“Thank you, Luna! Thank you,” one of the older women says taking quick steps over to me and almost reaching where I stand when Darian growls at her and she freezes on her spot.
“No one touches my mate,” he booms at her, and I see her show her neck to him where he stands with his black eyes focused on her.
Darian, it’s alright,” I say, taking a quick step over to him and placing my hand on his shoulder. I know he has a hard time containing his wolf because he hasn’t marked me, and right now I think he overreacts.
He turns his head and looks at me when I see him take a deep breath, and his usual eyes come back.
He places his arm around my waist when he turns to look at the woman again.
“Your Luna has spared your lives, but you will not go without being punished” he says, and I see one of the mothers hold her hands on her daughter’s shoulders.
“Thank you, Luna, for sparing their lives,” she says, and I give her a nod when Darian starts to walk with me toward the entrance doors.
“Guards, place them back in their cells and wait for my orders!” He orders out before we reach the entrance doors, and a guard holds them up for us.
No one says a word, and we walk out of the doors. Seeing his car stand outside and another black car behind with the driver already waiting for us, we make our way down the stairs before we get inside the back of the car
When the doors are closed, Darian places his arm around my shoulders and pulls me close to him when I lay my head on his shoulder. The driver starts the car, and we pull out onto the road.
“Would you have killed them?” I ask him what’s on my mind when he turns his head to look at me.
10:27)
“Yes, they disrespected their Luna, and the punishment is death,” he says in his dominant voice when I look at him in silence. He takes his hand and pulls a bit of hair from my face and places it behind my ear.
“I’m the Alpha, you and Noah are my first priority to take care of and keep you safe. Whatever it takes, I will do it,” he says, hooking a finger under my jaw when he traces his thumb over my bottom lip.
“Do you understand that, Aliza?” I hear the sincerity in his voice and what he isn’t saying, and for what it’s worth, I feel the same way as
him.
“I would do the same for you,” I say when I look deep into his eyes. I have felt it briefly more times than once through the bond the guilt he feels for everything that has happened to me.
He moves his hand up to my cheek and caresses it when I see him about to say something.
“We are here,” the driver says, interrupting whatever he had on his mind.
He holds my eyes for a moment when I feel the car come to a stop.
“Let’s get inside and see what he wants, we can talk after,” he says, dropping his hand from my cheek when a guard comes and opens the door on Darian’s side, and we both get outside.
“There are guards placed inside, Jeffrey and Chase are still waiting for them to contact me,” the guard says when we stop in front of him.
“No one interrupts the appointment,” Darian states, and starts to pull me with him over to the hospital. He has his arm secure over my waist when he takes the other hand and corrects his jacket over my front before he walks inside the entrance with me.
I don’t know why I start to feel nervous about whatever the doctor wants to tell us, and at the same time, I have so many unanswered questions on my mind.
“I can hear your heart raising, what’s wrong?” He stops me in the corridor and takes a step in front of me. I see the doctor’s door to the right, and I just want to get inside there.
“I’m just nervous about what news he got for us,” I say, turning my head to look at him.
“There is no need. Whatever it is, you are not alone,” he says when I see the door to the doctor’s office open up and his father come walking
out of it.
The expression on his face is something I haven’t seen before, and when Darian turns around and sees him, his expression changes as well. Both their eyes glance over, and I guess they are talking to each other through mind link.
“Go in there and talk to him. He will inform you what it is!” His father says and takes a step to the side, while waiting for us to get inside.
If I wasn’t nervous before, it’s nothing compared to what I am now.
Darian pulls me with him inside his office and Hook at his father as long as I can to try and get any hint of what it is when the door is shut close behind us, turning my head to find the doctor sitting in his chair behind his desk.

“Come in and take a seat!” he says, pointing to us at the chairs. We walk over there, and I slowly take my seat when Darian sits next to me.
We both look at the doctor when Darian grabs my hand and places it on his lap with his.
“It took me longer than I thought it would, but I found at last what I hoped for,” he says, and the rooms fall silent when the doctor looks at

“What is it?” Darian says after a long moment of silence, and the doctor keeps his eyes on me.
“Your wolf might not be gone!”
