“I will text you when it’s time!” he says when he walks back to me and gives me a kiss on the cheek before he determinedly walks out of the room and closes the door after him.
I stand in my spot and look at the closed door he walked out through. I know there’s no point in arguing with him about it more, when he has made up his mind, I can’t have him change it.
I have no idea why he wants me to go there before, and I have to get some time alone with the doctor somehow.
I sigh when I hear he is not coming back. I head over to the bathroom and take off my shirt, placing it on the sink, before I get inside the shower and turn it on.
I’m in no hurry and can take my time inside. Noah has a sleepover with his grandparents and Liz’s son this weekend, and I’m going to be all alone in this flat for the rest of the day.

Rinsing out the shampoo, I turn off the shower and step outside. Drying my body on a towel before I head out to put on some clothes.
It doesn’t take long until I’m done and have dried my hair, putting it up in a messy bun.
I miss Frederic and his constant arguing about me not taking care of my hair. Even if I argued with him and didn’t have the time for him to fix it, I would love to sit in his chair right now and just talk.
Here, I don’t get to meet anyone else besides Liz and Darian’s maids. Now and then his parents come over, but that’s about all I meet. I have been talking a lot with Frederic on the phone, and he has sent me pictures of the progress they are making in my house.
I’m grateful for everything they do for me, and none of them had to put so much time and effort into it. I could have handled it all once this is over, but Darian is determined that I come home to a complete home again after all this.
I haven’t talked to him about it, but if I’m honest, I don’t know for whom he really does it. I mean, when this is over, I don’t see us moving in there together, and I’m sure he will never agree to us having separate homes, so for what point is he doing it?

It was my home before, and I loved it, but his place is with his pack, and the more I spend time here in his pack, the more I know it’s me and Noah’s new home. I haven’t told him how I feel about it, and I know I have to let him know someday.
There is a knock on the door when I stand inside the bathroom and hang up my towel. Walking out to the bedroom, I see Liz open the door and pop her head inside.
“There you are. Time for breakfast,” she says when I walk over to the door. I haven’t seen her in several days, and I know she has been occupied with fixing up his home. She said there was no way she could move in there with the way it looked, and I guess she had to swap out every piece of furniture he had.
“Good to see you,” I say, and walk out into the hallway when she starts to walk beside me.
We get inside the kitchen, and I find the table already set, and it’s full of food with some freshly made coffee. It smells amazing as usual, and we both take our places around the table in silence.

My mind is occupied when I try to figure out a way to get ahold of the doctor and talk to him alone before Darian gets there.
“Alright, now you have to tell me what’s on your mind,” Liz says, and I lift my head and look over at her. Meeting her eyes, she sits back in her seat and looks sternly at me.
“And don’t tell me it’s nothing, I know it is,” she says, and I shake my
head at her.
“It’s nothing,” I say, getting back to my coffee and taking a sip of it.
