Chapter 117A
Aliza pov
Liz starts to smile her biggest smile, and Heidi sighs at the whole thing.
“So, who was he, and what did he say when you told him about you being pregnant? You have to tell us,” Liz says when Heidi looks angry at her.
“There is nothing to say! He was a dickhead! End of story!” She says and looking at her facial expression, she looks pained, and I know this isn’t the whole story.
“I’m sorry, Heidi. Was he your mate?” I ask her and see her turn her head to look at me.
“Yes, he was,” she says, and I can see her sad for a short second.

“Then what did he say when you told him about the pregnancy?” I ask her when she looks the other way and stands in silence for a moment
“I didn’t tell him,” she says, and I can understand why she didn’t say anything. I had my reasons for not letting Darian know, and I’m sure she has her own reasons.
“You just rejected him?” Liz asks, and I see Heidi close her eyes before she answers.
“I didn’t reject him; I just left after I saw what he was doing,” she says when Liz gasps in shock, and to me, everything becomes clear why she has acted the way she did several times with sleepless nights and the pain she has mysteriously been coming and going until it stopped coming one day.
“You are still mated to him, and he has cheated on the mate bond? That’s why you have been in pain.” I say and feel bad for her. I can only imagine how it must have felt to endure.
“Yes!” she says, and I want to get up from the floor and hug her, but my heat starts to come back in a wave that curses through my body, and I place my head on my knees and wait it out.

“Then why didn’t you go back later and kick his ass with the way you can fight? Then force him to accept the rejection?” Liz says when I hear Heidi sigh deeply.
“Because I have my reasons, okay!” she says in a hard tone, and I know she doesn’t want to talk about it anymore.
“Then who are you?” Liz says, and I lift my head from my knees to look at them when I see Heidi’s angry face when she starts to walk toward the door.
“No one! And I’m not going to stand here and chitchat while there is a fight going on outside,” she says in an angry tone before she walks out of the bathroom with determined steps, leaving us alone in here.
“Let her go,” I say to Liz when I see her start to follow after her to the door.
“Do we even know her?” Liz says, and I lean my head back against the wall when the pain starts to subside.

“All these years I thought I knew her, but it seems I was wrong,” Liz says, and I look at her when she turns around.
“You are not the only one that has been wrong about her, but I respect that she wanted to keep some things for herself. When she is ready to tell us, I will be there and listen to her.” I say when Liz walks over and takes a seat on the floor outside the shower.
“You know, this explains why she got so furious at Darian when she learned what he did in the office,” Liz says, and I lift my head from the wall at her words.
“She did what?” I ask her.
“Yes, she got mad as hell, and he got to hear about it. When he came here, she was about to attack him for it!” she says, and I swallow my spit wrong from hearing her say this.
“What?” I ask after I have stopped coughing.
