Aliza pov

Holding my hands on his arms when he lifts me from the ground and carries me back into the shower. He places me down on my feet before he gets over to the shower and turns it on.
Placing my hand on the wall, I wrap my other arm around my stomach and wait for the pain to go away when he comes back and starts to pull my shirt over my head.
I let him take it off before he rips his shirt off and pulls my body flat against him. His warm skin eases the pain, and I rest my head on his chest and close my eyes. His closeness feels good, and I want to stand like this forever when I feel his hand under my chin when he tilts my head up to look at him.
His eyes scan my whole face, and I take a deep breath when my core starts to throb on its own free will.

“The rogues are here because they felt your heat,” he says more like a statement than a question, and I give him a nod and feel ashamed that I have caused this mess we are in.
“It’s not your fault,” he says, like he can read my mind.
“I can’t take you back to my pack and risk meeting bigger trouble on the way with you in heat. I have to go out there and clear the grounds from any threat before I can come back to you,” he says, and just hearing him say he has to leave me makes my stomach drop. I don’t want him to go!
“I’ll be back once it’s cleared, and I can guarantee your safety. You have to hold out until I’m back,” he says, leaning down with his face. Seeing his tempting lips this close, I want them pressed against mine again.

He moves his face a bit closer before I see his eyes glance over, and I know he is talking to someone. It takes a long moment before he is done mind linking and just looks at me.
“Liz and Heidi will be here in a moment; they are going to stay here until I’m back,” he says before I suddenly find myself lifted and placed

He grabs my cheek before he briefly pecks my lips and lets go just as quickly when I see him turn around and walk out of the bathroom, leaving me to stand in here alone just looking at the door where he
went out.
Sighing I give up when the heat starts to come back and slump down on the floor inside the shower. Who knows how long I’m going to have to sit in here and just try to breathe through the pain.
Pulling my knees up to my chest, I wrap my arms around them and rest my head on my knees. I might as well try and get comfortable in here.
Hearing a knock on the door, I lift my head and see both Heidi and Liz come walking through the door. Both are bloody, but Heidi is on another level. I’m surprised by how she looks, and I start to wonder how many rogues there are out there fighting.
“How are you holding up?” Liz asks me when they both stop inside the room. Heidi walks over to the sink and looks at herself in the mirror.

“I’m fine! But what happened to you?” I say in shock when I see Heidi start to wash her hands and face in the sink.
“Just some rogues!” Heidi says like it was a walk in the park and nothing serious. Turning my head and look at Liz, who shakes her head at her.
“You should have seen her! I have never seen anyone fight the way she did, and I know she hasn’t told us the whole truth about who she is or where she comes from.” Liz states and crosses her arms over her chest while I look between them, and this is a good distraction to have.
“What are you talking about?” I say and see Liz look at Heidi with determination in her eyes, and I know that look! She won’t give up until she knows the whole story here.
“What!” Heidi says and stops washing her face for a moment when she looks at her through the mirror.
“Just tell us the truth, or I’m going to force it out of you.” Liz tries to threaten her, while I just sit there and look at them both when they have a standoff.

“Well, you could try! But do you really think you could take me on?” Heidi declares in a nonchalant voice like she knows there wouldn’t even be a chance for Liz if she tried.
“No, I might not get to win over you with how I saw you fight today, but there are other ways to get the truth out of you.” Liz scoffs, and I almost start laughing at them.
“Like what?” Heidi asks and stops washing her face when she starts wiping her face on a towel I have laying on the sink.
“I don’t know. I can tell Darian to force it out of you with his Alpha command.” Liz says with a victorious voice like she just got the best idea when Heidi chuckles at her and shakes her head. I know what she is going to say before she says it.
“Won’t work since I’m a rogue and he is not my Alpha,” she says, and I know it as well. She wouldn’t be affected by his Alpha command.
“Alright, then I can try and bribe you instead,” Liz says, and Heidi starts laughing at her.

“Well, go ahead and try. But I don’t think you can bribe me with anything,” she says, and I see Liz stand there in deep thought for a long moment before her lips start to turn up in the corners, and I know she has thought of a way, and if Heidi doesn’t watch out, she will walk right into her trap.
Looking between them both, I almost forget about what’s going on outside or that I’m in heat. I love to see two of my best friends have
their moment.
“I can set you up on a date with a gorgeous masculine wolf who can give you a great night,” Liz says, and wiggles her eyebrows at her when Heidi starts laughing at her and shakes her head at her idea.
“No thank you. I have met enough cheating idiots in my life, so spare me from any more of them,” she says, turning around to place the towel back on the sink.
“So your mate was a cheating bastard, or maybe you just thought he was, and he didn’t want you because you overreacted.” Liz is quick to say in a mocking voice, and now I look silently at Heidi and wait to see if she swallows the bate!
