Hundred and Thirty–Seven
Isabella’s POV
Lisa pointed at the wine section in the grocery shop the next day “We can go over there when we are done with this.” I said to her and she
nodded.
We had been in the grocery shop for almost two hours now, shopping for the pack party needs. We had the car filled with grocery for the party and all that was left were a couple of food items and alcohol
Who knew shopping for a large event could be so hard? Before I met Alexander, all I needed for a party was chips, a nice dip for the chips. booze and music from my phone We were walking towards the alcohol isle when I noticed Purchase completed oman looking at something in one of the shelves
It was Rhea and she was with a guy I didn’t know and her back was to me but I would know that figure anywhere. She giggled at what the man said, grabbing his arm in a suggestive way. The man seemed to like the gesture because he grinned wide.
He stretched to pick up a can of tuna from the top shelf and handed to her and Rhea muttered a flirtatious thank you. The man’s eyes found me staring and his action made Rhea immediately turn around to look at what the man was fixated on.
Before she could get a glimpse of me, I quickly looked away the last thing I needed was her noticing me and giving me any of her negative energy
Ever since Alexander kicked her out of the mansion so elegantly we‘ ve heard nothing from her but I suspected that it was because
Mexander had told her that she was banned from the mansion but ! didn’t want to find out if that was the reason or not.
i picked out some expensive wine from the isle, ones I knew. Alexander and his friends liked and some champagnes that we could serve at the party and placed them into the large trolley that was already filled almost to the brim.
“We could also make punch.” Lisa informed and I sent her on her way to get the ingredients and another trolley.
“Hey lulu.” I heard Caleb voice before I saw him.
“Hey Caleb. What are you doing here?” I asked as I looked him up and down. He was dressed in blue jean and a black compressor shirt and he was holding a bag meant for women.
“Grocery shopping, obviously.” I furrowed my brows at him not believing a single word he said.
“What? You don’t believe me?”
“Even you don’t believe you Caleb.” I said to him and he burst out laughing.
“Fine, you caught me. I’m here with someone.”
“What do you mean with someone? Like on a date?” I asked, staring at the bag in his hands that obviously belonged to a woman He seemed to noticed where I was looking at because he smiled sheepishly
“It’s not what you think and why on earth would I bring someone to a grocery shop for a date ?” he asked a frown marring his face
“That’s a good point but then again it’s you ” I said to him. He rolled his eves at my teasing good naturedly.
“She’s just a friend.”
“You‘ Just friends with a woman?”
“I’m serious. we are just good friends.”
“Is it Rhea?” I asked, realizing that the only other female friend he had was Rhea
“Nah. although I did run into her a few minutes ago.”
“Yeah. me too Caught a quick glimpse of her.”
Caleb nodded. “Did she see you?” he asked. “Don’t take that wine, it’s expensive for nothing. take the other one” Caleb said pointing to a French wine that I couldn’t pronounce. I took out the wine and placed it in my trolley before facing Caleb again.
“I don’t think so…I’m pretty sure she’d have approached me by now to say some smack.” Caleb nodded in agreement.
“Want are you doing here by yourself anyway and what’s with all the wine“” Caleb looked down at the trolley.
“Oh, that’s right. You don’t know…I’m organizing my first pack party.” I said with a proud smile.
“Oh, yeah? Go Luna!” Caleb fist bumped the air.
“I know right? I’m a little nervous though.” I told him truthfully
“Don’t be Need any help?” he asked.
“I need all the help I can get to be honest.” I said to him. Since I had decided not to hire event planners. I needed all the help I could get.
Alexander had told me his mother never hired event planners for any
of the parues she hosted and I took that up as a challenge
as roug to organize a party so good. it rivaled the Luna’s “Alright, i got von Calch said enthusiastically “What and what have you done”
“A lot but first, help me pick out some good wine and cognac
“Sure thing. Bella.”
Caleb helped me ick out the best wine, champagne and Cognac Tused to think I was good with picking out liquor but Caleb was amazing at it. he seemed to know the manufacturers of some of the drinks down to
where they were born.
It was amusing to see him geek out about wine. He later excused himself to see his ‘friend‘ off, that for some reason, he refused to introduce properly to me. After I paid for what I had bought at the check out point, Caleb, Lisa and I went back to the mansion,
I handed the kitchen staff the groceries when I finally got to the mansion and specifically told them to preserve and not use them for our regular meals. They nodded enthusiastically when they heard I was planning a party and offered some ideas on what to cook.
“So for the DJ’s and strippers…” Caleb started. We were seated at dining hall. strategizing and planning on how to make the party a huge
success.
“No strippers Caleb, it’s a masquerade party not a strip club themed party.”
“All the more reason we need strippers. No one’s going to know who they are because their faces would be covered the whole time.”
“No strippers.” I said firmly.
“Fine!” He pouted. “Sasha what do you think?” Caleb glanced over at
Sash she had been at the mansion with Blake when I had arrived
think we go with what the Luna wants” Sasha said amused by Calch’s insistence on hiring strippers for a masquerade ball
“Thank you Sasha.” I said as I glared at Caleb.
“Alright. fine.” He put up his hands in mock surrender. “I’ll drop it.”
“Good. now let’s focus on other things like…”
“What about belly dancers?” Caleb interrupted again. I swear if I didn’t love him like a brother. he’d be six feet under by now.
“Caleb‘” I warned.
“Fine, fine I’ll drop it Damn, tough crowd “He muttered with a roll of his eyes “Let’s talk about games we could play then…”
“Oh yeah, didn’t think of that, any ideas?” I asked, glancing between the both of them Lisa was getting drinks for us from the fridge for us but I glanced over at her too
“I have a couple” Sasha informed
“Okay, shoot.” I turned to face her.
“We could have a beauty pageant Competition for the women. you know give the winner a price that will make them happy, and maybe an all you can eat competition the winner wins a price of some sort, probably a years supply of groceries from you and the Alpha and maybe guess the wine games too.”
“Oh I love that” Caleb exclaimed. clearly excited about the guess the Wine game
fe is said from the far side of the kitchen “‘s a britan ada and ‘s different plus the guest would be entertained”
“xacth that’s a good idea. Sasha‘ will have to go over thi with Mason though, see how many of these we can fit into our budget Anything else we need to cover?”
“I think we’ve got everything covered for now. “Caleb said
“We’ll need a panel of judges for the competition.” Lisa spoke up as she placed our drinks in front of us.
“I want to be a judge.” Caleb said with a mischievous glint in his eyes
“Of course you do.” I said dryly. Just then Blake walked in with Mason right behind him.
“Hey babe, done with your meeting?” Sasha asked and the man nodded as he bent down and gave his mate a sensual kiss.
“Y’all can get a room now.” Caleb said with an eye roll.
“Jealous?” Blake said as he looked up, his eyes glowing with mischief
Caleb rolled his eyes. “Please.”
“What are you guys doing?” Mason asked, staring down at my notepad
“Planning a party and perfect timing I need to speak with you Mason”
“Oh” About what?” he asked, taking a seat beside me to get a better look at my note pad.
About the party
“Oh. the pack party? Alexander made mention that you were throwing your first ever one
Yeah
Age v chested
“Yeah mostly nervous but exerted
“It’s to be expected Picked a theme yet?” He asked as he snatched
Caleb’s drink
“Yes, a masquerade ball” I said His eyes sparkled at that
“Ouu that’s interesting”
“Right Anyway. I’ll stop by your office tomorrow to plan the budget” I told him
“Sure thing no problem” Mason said with a smile “By the way. I’m going to outdo everyone’s mask “He added
“Not if I outdo y’all first” Caleb protested
Blake chuckled at their banter and I just rolled my eves “And also, v‘ all will have to showcase your various talents at the party”
“Talents” Caleb asked with raised eyebrows
“Yes, talents “I repeated
“like singing and dancing” Mason inquired
