Isabella’s POV
Alexander pulled me unto his lap and cupped the back of my neck as he dipped his tongue into the warm spring that was my mouth eliciting a low moan out of me. remembered something else which had been concerning me. “Is something up with Blake, though? I haven’t seen him around in a while and besides, he’s the one you’d usually give tasks like this, not Mason.” I noted.
Alexander just shrugged, “It’s nothing, I just assigned him to something else. There’s no need for you to worry, everything’s fine.”
I nodded at his words even though I knew that although he may not be lying, it was only half truth. “And the lady from the attack?” I asked, that was what had actually been concerning me more, “I’ve been hearing rumors that the Alpha has had her killed already. It’s not true right? I’m sure there were other people behind the attack or even a particular person really. I don’t think it’s necessary to punish her so severely…to kill her.”
Alexander smiled, “You don’t need to worry your pretty head with all that. Just let me do all the worrying, okay?” He said and I sighed giving him an unimpressed look.
I left much later, having to force him to let me go knowing that he had so much work to do and me being there would make him two times less productive than he should be. It was almost hilarious when he tried to persuade me that he works even better when I was there. Meanwhile he had been staring at the same page for almost thirty minutes.
When I got back to my room, I stripped and hopped into the shower. The water was so warm, it was almost hot and I thought that it was perfect. slathered body wash all over my body before grabbing my washcloth and washing myself clean with it. I stayed in my room for the rest of the day after that doing nothing but staring at the mural on the ceiling.
