Zora’s POV
“What if you served as our informant in that organization? We believe you won’t act badly since we have your son. Do you believe you are capable of completing it?” Kara yelled in response to my question, signaling that it was a poor idea, but I was aware of what I was trying
“What about Cindy?” I chuckled as Eloise inquired.
“Cindy won’t be important soon. Darius and I do not have faith in her,” I added, knowing that Darius intended to have everyone involved arrested.
The only thing left to do was to prevent Amy from being detained. Although fewer field players would push them to prioritize surviving, we could never catch everyone. Amy would advance in rank and maybe meet the king or someone close to him.
I was aware that utilizing Amy was a naive notion. Although I didn’t trust her, we required recruits for their ranks. It was unfortunate that Cindy did not appreciate my kind offer and decided to keep working against us. She had shown me there was nothing worth preserving about her, otherwise I would have spared her.
To gather all the names of the people Amy knew at the organization, I attached Brian Wilson to her. When finished, he had to provide the names to Darius.
As soon as we were outside the interrogation area, I connected Darius to see where he was. Before drilling Anika and Olga, I realized I needed to take a break since I was a little exhausted.
“Where are you?” Through the mind link, I questioned Darius.

“We’re still in the lounge talking about our plan,” he answered.

“I’m giving you a recording of Amy’s interrogation. Make sure Hardy and Casey are present since it concerns them,” I linked him and he remained silent.
I wanted to let him go on with it without having to go back and tell Hardy and Casey what he learned. They needed to hear Amy’s confession in order to fully grasp the importance of the situation.
I headed to my bedroom after sending Darius the voicemail.
Kara and Eloise left me to go to their place.
I was hungry, but I also needed to take a quick nap.
I postponed Olga and Anika’s interrogation until the next day. I had instructed Brian Levi to make sure Sofia was in a more guarded cell in case any individuals tried to break her out, even though I was eager to capture Cindy and did not want the moron to be aware that we realized what she was up to.
After all, the names disturbed me.
The list included Glenda and her father. I questioned if Shanon was involved as well. Glenda and Nellie’s talk suggested that Shanon had no option, so when their names were mentioned, I felt compelled to investigate the circumstances surrounding her departure. We needed any and all information we could acquire, even if it turned out to be nothing. Information could be an advantage in an intellectual battle and that was called an intellectual battle.
As I laid on the bed, I pondered whether Darius had gotten the email and whether anyone was listening.
“How did it go?” Nellie was the last person I anticipated mind–linking me, so when I heard her voice, it surprised me a little.

“Aren’t you on a date?” I questioned her.

“Zora, you’re aware of why I drove him away,” she replied, so I laughed.
“It went well, but now I’m going to relax.”
“Anything tasty?” I sighed as she questioned me.
“She gave us the full story. During Collier’s reign, something comparable occurred.” I linked her.
“Yes, Zora, it did, and that’s why the man turned into a tyrant. He captured and murdered all of them,” she explained, but I had my doubts because Amy had claimed that the king was an elderly man.
“I doubt he captured all of them; Amy mentioned the Kingman isn’t a young person.” I explained, when I noticed a knock at my door. Magic was not necessary for me to recognize Nellie.
“It’s open,” I linked her, unable to leave the comfort of the bed.
Nellie entered when someone turned the doorknob and approached the bed while glaring nervously.
“You have to take it easy, Zora,” she remarked, worried, so I smiled and nodded.
While I was attempting to sleep, she interrupted me and advised me to take it easy. I sat up in bed without sharing my ideas with anybody
She gasped as I told her what Amy had told me, particularly about Iris.
“Poor Jake, he is going to be broken by this,” she expressed sympathy for her new acquaintance, so I nodded in agreement since I knew what was coming.
“Why would she consent to being used in that way? The girl‘ is greedy and foolish,” Nellie snarled, then I nodded.

“He will ultimately have to handle it. Please let me be aware when they bring Glenda,” she replied with such wrath, so I chuckled.
It was disturbing to learn Glenda was one of them. She shared our home with us, where she also ate and slept. It was only distressing. Abel would not be pleased, but I had no idea how he would react to it.
“Do you believe Amy can be trusted?” Nellie questioned me and was worried.
“No, we can’t, but I’m going to use her anyhow, since she appears to want to make amends in her son’s eyes, so let’s simply observe how much she desires to preserve her life and make amends,” I explained, then she grinned at me.
“You made the same attempt with Cindy.” She made a point, which caused me to sigh.
“That was a different case,” I confessed, feeling ashamed for having given a crucial duty to the incorrect individual. I attempted to ignore it.
She grinned at me knowing I didn’t want to talk about Cindy with her.
“I disagree with what you mentioned about the king being a product of Collier’s day. It’s all too simple,” I paid attention when she stated.
“Darius doesn’t resemble his father at all. Collier had no mercy. Ramsey was only spared from his fury because he was able to convince the council of his innocence and establish his innocence beyond a shadow of a doubt. Collier only had one instance where he detested being a ruler. Because he was aware that Ramsey had sinned against him, if he had been a king, he would have put Ramsey to death right away.
Going back to what I attempted to say, I don’t believe that this individual is a holdover from that period. Perhaps he is surrounded by some of the survivors from that age, but they operate in a very different way from him. He may be young or my age, but it doesn’t seem like the same people.” I was taken aback by her in–depth thought process as she added.

“By the way, the good thing is Casey and Hardy are in line to put in Darius as king,” I tried to shift the subject because I needed to relax, then she shrieked.
“Unluckily, we might have to continue having the two Alphas here because these individuals have a target on their backs, also we do not want anything to occur to them,” I explained, then she scowled, since I was too exhausted and drowsy to say anything further.
I closed my eyes and gave her the tape of Amy’s interrogation. I quickly went to sleep after closing my eyes.
It was dark when I awoke. Darius was seated next to me with his laptop on his lap, also Nellie wasn’t in my room anymore. He appeared at ease.
Gradually, I was able to seat myself up and he grinned as he stared at me.
