Zora’s POV
“That whore Amy had always been a terrible person. Her mother was also like that, you know. Her mother always tried to state her opinion and force you to accept that. Collier only fucked her for several times, but she already gave up her husband for that. I truly hoped that Christian took a better look before he jumped into marriage with her. But people always said that love was indeed blind. His marriage would cause him to be banished,” Nellie said, which made me feel upset at what she said.
Still, her words were indeed true.
Thanks to Liam and Amy who were involved in this rebellion, both of them would be considered as traitors. That would mean the whole after the examination was over. The only blessing for Liam was that Darius would forgive him and punish Amy only for her actions if my mate was indeed successfully put on the throne as king. Liam walked through most of them. In fact, there wasn’t any of the staff whom he selected. He kept staying with the women in the trophy section. Eventually, he went to a dark–haired eastern beauty to stop before her. It showed that this woman was one of them. It made my heart beat even faster because I realized who the woman was. After that, the little boy then walked and selected a western Luna who worked in the gardens
Then, I told Brian through the mind–link not to get those she–wolves out yet until Liam smelled everyone. It took an additional 30 minutes for that boy before he finally finished smelling all of them. I could see how relieved the she–wolf from the east and the Luna from the west from their eyes. Both of them truly thought that they managed to pass. Actually, it made me chuckle inside. While I did realize that what I would do to them was messed up, I wished to see how their happiness dried out from their
very own eyes.
Not long after that, Liam was brought back to his cell. Then, I asked Brian to search the rooms and the belongings of the people whom Liam had identified. As soon as the man left, I kept the people in check with

“Did I give anyone permission to talk?” I retorted coldly, prompting them to keep their mouths shut again.
“While my mate might be merciful, I won’t be like that. All of you will stay here until I dismiss you,” I informed them while they were looking at Nellie, wishing that Darius‘ mother would prevent me.
Technically, Nellie’s status was indeed above me. However, she wouldn’t dare to do that.

“Silence! Do as your Luna had instructed you. You’re supposed to be getting used to Zora as the lady of the north. By being too forgiving, too much harm had been done. Everything that was done before was to save more lives. Thus, I’ll recommend you to obey it,” the former lady of the north warned the wolves who called out to her, causing them to go silent.
Meanwhile, Alpha Jake stood next to me before he got close to my ears.
“Is there any luck with them“?” the man asked me while I stared back at him in return before I nodded.
The man then slightly smiled.
“I’d like to ask them about Iris,” he told me, prompting me to smile at the Alpha in return.
“After I’m done with Amy, you can try to ask, Alpha. They might be unable to help because it seems to me that they’re working in groups. Also, no group knows other groups. Still, it’s just my assumption. Alpha. I could still be wrong,” I told him as he nodded to get what was behind my
words.
Thirty minutes later.
“The search is finally done, Luna,‘ Brian informed me through the mind- link.
It made me relax as I stared at everyone who was standing in the garden.

“All of you may return back to your rooms and continue what you’re doing. I’m sorry for disturbing your afternoon,” I told them, making a note to myself that the two culprits looked very relieved.
After that, we left the people before they started to go back to their rooms.
“So?” Eloise asked on our way to my wing.
After all, I made up my mind to change into something cozier to interrogate Amy.
“Alpha Jake and I have a lunch date,” Nellie said, causing my eyes to
widen at her.
When I saw how happy her expression was, I realized that she wished to get Jake away from us so that we could run our task smoothly. After all. his daughter was part of the rebellion which I knew very well. That would be wrong to let him in on every aspect of the investigation. I responded by smiling as I nodded my head appreciatively.
“That’s cool. Besides, I wish to take a nap,” I excused Nellie and Alpha
Jake.
“Well, what about Amy Zakharov then?” the Alpha asked, making me know that he was still anxious about her daughter.
“Just continue your lunch date, Alpha When you return, you’ll talk to Iris‘ supervisor,” I tried to assure him, causing him to thank me.
While both Jake and Nellie had already left us, Kara and Eloise immediately followed me back to my room.
“So?” Eloise asked again the moment we entered.
“Alpha Ramsey’s niece is one of them,” I told her, who was immediately surprised about it.

“Anika! She’s the one he gave away as a trophy, right?” she asked again, causing me to nod.
Suddenly, everything made sense. Alpha Ramsey didn’t plan the attack to avenge himself for what Casey had done. Instead, the cunning old man did it to give his niece a trophy to get her into the Hand estate with ease. Every other thing that happened was nothing but a bonus for him. Knowing about this meant that he actually didn’t need Lori to enter our home. After all, Ramsey would still manage to work out his plan with
success.
By placing his daughter in both Casey and mine’s home was just some good measure. The fact that Ramsey managed to kill lots of people and wrecked homes only to get what he wanted had shown what kind of person he was. He didn’t deserve any form of forgiveness.
Meanwhile, both Eloise and Kara were shocked with what I had revealed to them. They already did the math too. So, I could see how their surprise eventually turned into anger.
