Tonya stood on the stage with tears in her eyes, looking pitiful and innocent.

anger.
“It’s not her.” Isabelle closed her eyes, contemplating for a second. “Do you remember what happened on October 2nd, Glenda?”
Glenda thought for a moment and replied, “On October 1st, we had a gathering with Sue. On October 2nd, you were at my place.”
Isabelle turned to Lauren. “After we entered the venue, did anyone else touch the laptop?”
“Absolutely no!” Lauren swore.
Isabelle furrowed her brows, her eyes sharp.
Isabelle asked again, “Think harder. Did anyone else touch the laptop?

Lauren replied, “But Sue is not anyone else. When I went to the restroom, she came out of the advertising room and held the laptop for me for a moment.”
Glenda froze, her face cold.

Glenda refused to believe it. “Isabelle, are you kidding? How could that be? We and Sue have been friends for years.”

“We’ll know whether she betrayed us soon,” Isabelle added.
