Why did he keep a cat in the first place since he was allergic to cat hair? What a weird and masochistic loner.
The look in Isabelle’s eyes spoke for itself. The reserved man cast a cold glance at her. “Are you calling me names?”
“No. I’m praising you.”
“For my good looks?”
Isabelle looked at his arrogant, smiling lips and thought, “How narcissistic!”
“Is the pink decoration also…”
Maggie whispered with a smile, “It’s Mr. L’s idea.”
Isabelle suddenly envied the kitten. He spoiled it too much!
He looked so aloof. If he had a daughter, Isabelle couldn’t imagine how much such a sophisticated man would dote on the child.
She subconsciously touched her firm belly.
“What inappropriate thoughts are you having, Ms. Spencer?” He stared at her, leaning against the edge of the door.
Blushing, Isabelle led the dogs into the small mansion. “Hi, kitty, these are Charlie and Luca. They’ll be your roommates temporarily. Get along.”
She held the cat’s paw with one hand and the dogs‘ with the other and put them together as if they were shaking paws.

“L, what’s the kitten’s name?” she asked, looking up.
Warren was surprised.
Maggie smiled, “It doesn’t have one.”
Isabelle mocked, “Your daddy is lazy. He didn’t even give you a name. I’m your sister. I’ll name you.”
She had many sides. Now, she acted like a little girl with a sweet voice.
Raising his brows, Warren said, “You’re its sister? I’m its dad. Then, what am I to you?”
Isabelle’s face was flushed with embarrassment. This sophisticated man could be naughty in everything.
Isabelle ignored him. “I’ll name it Ollie. It’s chic.”
“I prefer Bella. Unlike some talkative girl with a girlish name, it’s quiet.” He looked at her airily.
Isabelle thought about his words.
Then, she turned her head and asked, “What’s your name? Does your name suit you?”
The look in his eyes showed he was smiling. This girl was quick.
Maggie brought a cat–teasing stick. “Mr. L, will you tease the kitten? It’s OK if you stand far!”
He probably had never done it before. After taking over the stick, he stood stiff and far away with an indifferent expression.

He suddenly turned the stick and lifted her chin with the feather end. Approaching her abruptly, he whispered in her ear in an enchanting voice, “Kitty, I’m not allergic to you!”
Isabelle was taken aback. His flirtation made her blush. How could he compare her to a kitty?
Just then, he wrapped his arm around her and teased her several times. After whistling, he asked seriously, “Can you purr?”
He was too naughty. He meant caterwauling, the sound a cat in heat made.
Before Isabelle flared up, he stepped away from her.
With a mischievous look, he turned around and left the room in a good mood.
Yet Isabelle still couldn’t calm down. She couldn’t even look at the cat- teasing stick! That man indeed knew how to tease a girl. His flirtation wasn’t annoying. It made a girl blush for a long while.
He was an expert in it!
When she came back to the villa, Alison told her to have a bath. Then, she said Warren was hungry and asked Isabelle if she could cook.
Isabelle wondered, “Did Tara go back to the house in the back?” She came downstairs after a bath. She had never cooked before, but today, she wanted to thank Warren.
Cooking wasn’t a problem for her. A socialite diva was usually versatile.
Isabelle walked into the kitchen and made spaghetti for him.

“Mr. L, dinner is ready.” She put the food on the table.
Then, she handed him a fork with her slender, fair hand.
After a glance at her, Warren took the fork.
She sat opposite him, cupped her face with her hands, and sighed.
Pouring a glass of wine, he peeked at her.
Isabelle voiced her trouble. “Mr. L, you know what? The painting was taken, so I can’t use it to please my arch–enemy. He’s a judge of the Jewelry Contest in October. I’m doomed.”
“Who’s your arch–enemy?” he asked while drinking.
“The owner of Supreme Jewelry!”
His eyes dimmed. “What did he do?”
“Our grudges go back to generations ago. It’s about the fierce competition in business! Are you a businessman? If you are not, you won’t understand.”
Sheldon, who stood behind his boss, snickered, thinking, “Ms. Spencer is conceited.”
Mockery was plain in his eyes. He asked coldly, “Does your arch- enemy even know you exist?”
“He says I have small breasts. That’s enough to make him my arch- enemy!”
The look in his eyes became intense as his gaze moved downward from her collarbones. With knitted brows, he thought but didn’t recall when he had made that comment. Then, he said slowly, “Let bygones be bygones. Haven’t your breasts become bigger?”

Blushing, Isabelle covered her breasts with her arms immediately. “L, whose side are you on?”
Sheldon thought, “Good question!”
After eating a mouthful of spaghetti, Warren folded his legs. “Don’t worry about the painting.”
“Why?”
“Mr. Levine doesn’t like paintings.”
Isabelle was surprised. Her eyes brightened. “Did you guess it? I think so too! How can a handsome man like him like paintings as old men do? I’m telling you, that pervert likes young girls.”
Sheldon’s mouth twitched. He peeked at his boss.
Noticing the gloom on Warren’s face, Isabelle asked, “Mr. L, what’s the matter?”
He squinted. “You can please him in another way.”
“How?”
“Come here.” He curled his fingers.
She walked over doubtfully in her clean and soft nightgown. He held her by the waist.
Startled, she screamed and slumped on his lap. His muscles were so firm.
Sitting in his arms, and being so close to him, Isabelle felt awkward. When she struggled, he pressed her hand and asked, “How many ways of pleasing men do you know?”

Isabelle understood. With a frown, she said, “You want me to seduce my arch–enemy? Not gonna happen. I won’t cheat on you.”
Warren raised his brows. It was hard to tell whether he was happy or disappointed.
“You’re a faithful wife.”
“We have a contract.”
“Shall we practice?” he suggested.
“Practice what?”
“Seduction.” He leaned over and exhaled at her earlobe.

Isabelle’s car reddened immediately. The look in his eyes became intense. He held her by the waist and said in a low voice, “To please a man, you must be soft in expressions, tones, and actions.”
“How…to be soft?” Isabelle felt she was getting tipsy from the fragrance of wine on his breath. Otherwise, why was she following his logic?
Abruptly, he carried her onto the table.
