Isabelle looked up at Tonya amusingly as if she was watching a circus clown.
Next to her, Mr. L ignored Tonya. He seemed to hate the sight of such things.
“Let’s leave.” Mr. L turned around steadfastly.
Isabelle followed behind.
Brandon was livid when he saw Isabelle obedient to that man.
“Isabelle!” he roared.
Tonya’s face darkened.
Hearing her name, Isabelle stopped walking. Mr. L glanced at her and said, “I have to answer a call. I’ll let the chauffeur pick you up. Can you handle it?”
Isabelle nodded with a smile.
Isabelle turned around, eyes cold. Brandon scurried over, took a look at Mr. L, and asked, “Who is he?”
“None of your business.”
“How can you be associated with a loser? Why do you abase yourself?”
“At least, I didn’t take the money that was stained with shit.”
Her words called out to both Tonya and Brandon. The onlookers found it so funny!

Tonya was displeased. So was Brandon. He took Isabelle’s hand and taunted, “That loser doesn’t have a car, does he? Did he ride a motorcycle here? Let me drive you home!”
With that, Brandon pressed the button on the car key, and the headlight of his Lamborghini immediately flickered.
Tonya strutted over with a fake smile, “Yes, Isabelle. You must’ve walked all the way here. You’re pregnant, though no one knows whose is the father. You should still take care of yourself. Let me and Brandon send you home, in case you lose your baby on the motorcycle.”
The other rich ladies stared at Isabelle with scorn. They wondered why such a pretty woman was out of her mind and stayed with a loser.
Isabelle had no intention of arguing.
In the next second, a car screeched to stop. It caught everyone’s attention and made everyone gasp.
The limited edition Bugatti Veyron. There was only one in the world. Brandon and Tonya were both dumbfounded.
All the rich people in Donsborough couldn’t get this car. This was a symbol of power.

Suddenly, the chauffeur got out and hollered respectfully, “Ms. Spencer, please get in the car.”
Isabelle grinned from ear to ear. She took a peek at Tonya, Julia, and George who were utterly stupefied, and got into the car.

The Spencers choked on the exhaust fumes.
The other rich and powerful people were rooted to the spot. “Who did Isabelle hook up with? Only the Levine family has this car…”
“There’s no way Isabelle is dating a Levine!” Julia quickly rebutted. “Her misery has led her up the garden path. First, the loser. Now, a guy who drives a fake car?”
“How could she do that? She has brought disgrace on our family,” Tonya sighed, but she was envious deep down.
Brandon was annoyed when he heard their conversation. How did Isabelle know a guy who drove this kind of car?
Brandon had regrets. Isabelle should’ve been his woman. He should be the one to praise her beauty, her talents, and her great personality!
How many men did Isabelle have? A hint of disappointment flashed in Brandon’s eyes. His heart ached because of remorse and jealousy.

Mr. L didn’t sit in the same car with Isabelle. His car only tailed behind.
On the way, Glenda called Isabelle. “Bella, how did it go?”
“You did a great job,” Isabelle told Glenda to spike Tonya’s tea. After Tonya passed out, they moved her to the basement.
The chauffeur bought some pork to fake the scene.
It was a meticulous plan to let everyone watch Tonya have a psychotic episode. Then they would have a good reason to lock Tonya up in the asylum.

The thought of it made Isabelle shiver.
“The mother and daughter really know how to stir things up. Sadly, Tonya will be kicked out again because of you. I can’t believe they forced you to sign a useless contract,” Glenda babbled with joy. “Did Mr. Levine show up?”
“Nope.” Isabelle was distracted by Mr. L the whole time. She didn’t get a chance to look for her nemesis in the crowd.
The car arrived at the villa. Isabelle hopped out. Mr. L stood beside his Bentley with knitted brows and lit up a cigarette. The picture of a mature man smoking was extremely sexy, so Isabelle didn’t dare to take another look.
Mr. L puffed out the smoke. When he saw Isabelle, he waved and signaled her to wait.
After the smoke dissipated, he walked gently toward her.
Suddenly, Isabelle’s two German Shepherds jumped out of the car.
Isabelle put on a smile, crouched in front of the dogs, and stroked their heads.
Her face was pink. Her eyes were sparkling. She gushed, “When my mother was alive, she brought them home to keep my company. They’re old now. It’s my negligence. I should’ve taken them home sooner. Sir, I’m so grateful for…your chauffeur.”
“I’ll give you one more chance.” The man raised his eyebrows.
His steely voice gladdened Isabelle’s heart. She rose to her feet, like a flower in the windy night. When the man saw her red lips, he quickly loosened the Windsor knot.

Isabelle and Mr. L wended their way to the villa hall. Not until now did Isabelle notice he was wearing suits.
He must’ve attended a formal party. Isabelle whispered, “Did your business trip end, or you came back halfway?”
The man paused, peering into her eyes.
His gaze had given Isabelle an answer. Isabelle immediately blushed. She chose to believe that it was because he cared for the baby in her belly.
Before they entered the door, the man frowned. “They can’t enter!”
Isabelle looked back at her dogs and said pitifully, “You’re homeless like me. Can’t you be nice and take them in?”
“No.” How cruel!
“Ms. Spencer, Mr. L is allergic to dogs!” Maggie walked over with a smile on her lips.
Isabelle was shocked. No wonder he seemed to be repulsed by her dogs just now.

“But Mr. L has a cat in the backyard. You can keep your dogs there,” Maggie advised. “What do you say, Mr. L?”

Without delay, Maggie led Isabelle to the backyard.
There was a pink small mansion that made Isabelle’s jaw drop. “Is this where his cat lives?”

Inside the mansion, a white kitty gracefully lay on the stairs. It didn’t seem happy about seeing anyone.
