Chapter 224 They Got Engaged
On February 20th, Warren and Amy’s engagement ceremony was held as scheduled.
The engagement was grand. All the television stations in Donsborough were broadcasting the luxurious engagement ceremony at Yukon Manor.
The dazzling flashbulbs pierced into Isabelle’s eyes through the television screen.
She stood still in the apartment, not surprised. She was also calm, but her heart felt like a big piece had been hollowed out.
Warren and she became a settled matter, the dust settled. They went their separate ways.
Tomorrow, Isabelle is also getting engaged!
I couldn’t imagine that between them, it would end so ironically and hastily…
Isabelle blinked her mist–filled eyes with force. She could only console herself that the hurtful words he had said to her at the bridal shop that day probably didn’t count anymore.
Since he chose to get engaged and loved Amy so much, his heart had long been not with her.
After getting engaged, Warren’s life also settled down. They both lived their own lives peacefully.
Isabelle was nervous for two days. Now she can sadly breathe a sigh of

relief.
“Bella, why were you torturing yourself?”
Glenda entered through the apartment door and saw her staring
blankly at the TV. She immediately walked over and abruptly turned it off!
She hugged Isabelle, both determined and worried. “Are you okay? The local station in Donsborough is broadcasting. It must be Amy seeking revenge on you secretly. She has bribed the media to spread rumors. What’s so interesting about the engagement ceremony of those despicable men and women! Let’s find something else to do.”
Isabelle didn’t want her best friend to worry, so she forced a smile. “I’m really fine. Even though I had hopes before, I truly gave up today.”
“Yesterday, I moved in and bought some baking tools. I was thinking that after the baby was born, I would learn to make some baby food. Do you want to research together?”
“Sure, we must make sure the baby eats well and stays healthy!”
Glenda felt that only the child could cheer Isabelle up and distract her. “Wait for me to download the next kitchen app…”
“What are you guys doing? Can I join too?” Alice’s voice rang out.
Glenda paused for a moment and hurried to open the door, lowering her voice as she asked, “Why didn’t you attend the engagement ceremony of that couple? I wasn’t invited, but it’s different for you. Can you go and find out what’s going on for me?”
Alice took off her scarf and smirked, “Amy’s grand engagement to Jonah was quite a blow. After all, she was the woman he loved. He won’t be attending.”

“He had long ago retreated and didn’t know where to go. I was happy to be at leisure, and I didn’t want to accompany my parents to the engagement scene, enduring the attacks from that despicable Amy. You know my parents are from the Watson family’s distant branch. They have always been suppressed by Terrell.”
Glenda snorted in anger.
As she turned her head, Glenda noticed that Isabelle had already overheard their conversation.
Alice walked over and gently touched Isabelle’s tired eyes and brows, sympathetically. “How did we both end up with a man like Amy? What’s so great about her? She’s fake, she can act, and she’s manipulative. These men are blind!”
“You guys are so gossipy. What nonsense are you all talking about? Alex and I are closer, why don’t you mention anything about us? Stop it! Or should we go back to discussing your miserable love stories?”
“Glenda, do you still have a heart?” Alice, breaking her usual coldness, roared.
After they interrupted, Isabelle’s mood seemed to have calmed down a bit. She helplessly smiled and went to the kitchen to fetch some tools.
As soon as Bella left, Glenda couldn’t resist and quietly turned on the TV, pouting in anger. “I really want to see what the scumbag’s parents look like, and see if the jerk is happy today…”
It was around six o’clock in the evening. The beautiful glow of dusk illuminated the picturesque lawn.
The buffet table looked magnificent under the camera.

On the white silk seats sat the families of both sides. Warren, being extravagant, attracted many prominent figures from the business world for his engagement.
“That would be Terrell and Bailey, the leaders of the Watson Group in the medical field,” Alice pointed out.
Terrell was very stylish, with hidden eyes and brows. Bailey was elegant and a tough guy.
“This Amy is just like her mother. Their eyes are filled with cunning and malice.”
Glenda snorted coldly. Her gaze shifted to the side where Warren’s family was. No one was there. There was only the back view of an elderly man dressed in a discreet yet eye–catching suit.
She squinted and couldn’t help but laugh. “Lamont didn’t come, huh? Well, ever since the SJ Group was taken away, Warren probably harbors a deep grudge against the Levine family. He definitely didn’t invite his father.”
However, could Terrell really tolerate his parents‘ absence? I never understood it. Amy is so wealthy. Why is she so crazy about Warren? The Watson family also seems to value Warren a lot.
This is also a point of confusion for Alice, “Amy is definitely not as love–struck as she appears. I know she had her eyes on Warren since her early twenties. What exactly is the charm of this man?”
“Hey, do you know that old man in a suit sitting in Warren?
The camera had a frontal shot.
Alice looked closely, “That seems to be Warren’s uncle? The top military figure in Potoyapa City. The ancient Levine family is actually from Potoyapa City. Lamont only came to Donsborough after the

family split, I vaguely remember, Warren is always ranked third among the younger generation of the family.”
“Oh, I see. He was highly esteemed.”
Glenda analyzed with a sneer. “Could it be that the Watson family had their eyes on Warren’s uncle’s military influence in Potoyapa City?”
“But this uncle was very mysterious, and had little contact with Lamont, and he wasn’t Warren’s father either. No one knew what the Watson family was up to…”
Alice was speaking when she saw Isabelle, who was pregnant and coming out of the kitchen. She immediately turned off the TV, and the conversation came to an abrupt end.

Yukon Manor.
Warren loosened his tie, feeling short of breath.
The elderly man in a suit sitting next to me was relaxed in his posture. “Warren, what brings you to the lounge to see me?”
Warren looked up and saw his uncle in front of him. In fact, they didn’t have much contact. Warren was not familiar with him.
Until a few years ago, Warren quietly founded Skyler Technology during the most difficult economic times, and it was his silent uncle who provided him with the financial support.
After that, there was some estrangement between him and his uncle.
Warren spoke indifferently, “You were in the military. I would like to ask you for the highest level arrest warrant in Potoyapa City. Is that possible?”

Brycen Levine looked over and asked with interest, “Who do you want to deal with?”
“I had some plans for tomorrow.”
