Chapter 223 Sending A Grand Gift
Isabelle thought, “You can get engaged with Amy, but even after my divorce, I still have to be held hostage by you?”
When Isabelle remembered Warren allowing Amy to mock her as “second–hand goods,” her heart ached. What did he really think of her?
Clutching her fist, she said coldly, “Mr. Levine, have you finished speaking? If you have, please make way.”
“I didn’t have the patience to say it a second time!”
His hostility loomed over her head.
Isabelle looked up, and two dark eyes welled up with water ripples. “I was forced to get engaged by you. We have no relationship anymore. You have no right to control what I do or don’t do.”
No longer relevant…
A few words pierced the man’s eyes.
“When did I force you?” he sneered coldly. “Did I force you to climb into the bed of a wild man and eagerly throw yourself into his arms? Isabelle, you are even more shameless than I imagined.”
“You shameless woman, even if I abandon you like worn–out shoes, I will not allow any wild man to tarnish and disgrace me. Do you understand?”
Isabelle was constantly pushed to the limit of humiliation by him.
Her nails dug into the palm of her hand. She understood. The things he

had discarded could be stepped on, but his pride should not be diminished.
A man who was so arrogant. How could he allow his ex–wife to remarry? It seemed to have nothing to do with love or not anymore…
She felt like being pricked by an ice needle and couldn’t help but laugh, “You feel embarrassed. Maybe you should reflect on yourself. When you just kicked your wife and got engaged to Amy in a high- profile manner, the hat of a scumbag might have already been firmly placed on your head.”
“Amy gave everything for me. What right do you have to talk about me and her?”
“Contrasting you and David, one is cunning like a snake, the other is inscrutable. You two are a perfect match,”
He squinted sarcastically, grabbed her arm tightly, and stared deeply at her. “What did he do behind your back? Do you know?”
“What do you mean?” Isabelle struggled in confusion.
Warren scrutinized her expression. “He is cunning and not as innocent as you think! His methods are despicable, using online trolls to manipulate public opinion against you. The Lopez Group is not in any turmoil at all. Are you foolish or willingly blind? Just look at today, he deliberately brought you to this store, what do you think it’s for? It’s just to provoke me.”
Warren understood that David had just seen his smile.
Unfortunately, Isabelle and him appeared to be very affectionate. When he remembered how they interacted with the children and took over his role as the father right in front of him, Warren became furious.

David looked at her waist with a gaze that Warren couldn’t forget.
His veins bulged, his eyes turned red at the corners, and he wished he could grab her by the neck. “Do you understand what kind of person he is now? Leave him, call off the engagement!”
Isabelle snapped out of her thoughts from his series of warnings.
She hesitated for a moment, then looked at him with an expression of excessive anger. There was a hint of calmness and coolness in her heart. “Warren, I don’t know how much misunderstanding you have towards him. In my eyes, he has helped me several times in difficult situations. Without him, Luck Jewelry would have been forced to close by you.”
“You said he manipulated public opinion and deceived the Lopez Group, causing turmoil? Sorry, your angry words make it hard for me to believe.”
“Just to have me, he disregarded the Lopez Group? Ruined his own reputation? He is a businessman, this is unreasonable.”
“He brought me to this bridal shop, just because it was recommended by his friend. David is gentle in nature, you’re just overthinking. Or maybe you don’t like the way he and I get along…

Isabelle explained so much, watching his expression grow colder and colder. She knew he had a stubborn and self–centered personality.
Warren’s eyes grew cold. She gripped her arm in pain. “He’s perfect in every way, don’t you believe me?”
Isabelle frowned, enduring the pain of her broken wrist, and whispered hoarsely, “I just feel that you don’t need to suspect others‘ intentions.

You have already chosen Amy, so don’t be domineering and try to control whether I get engaged or not. You even fabricated these stories about David to force me to cancel the engagement.”
“A person cannot simply enjoy the same benefits as others. Even if I were to die, I would never want to be your secret lover. I am not that cheap. Forget about it.”
“Hmm.” The man emitted a low, prolonged chuckle.
Was Warren a petty person who falsely accused David? In Isabelle’s eyes, was he like this?
Did she still care about David so much that she disregarded any lingering feelings for him?
She was truly a blind and heartless woman.
Warren felt a dull pain in his heart and his eyes turned cold. He abruptly pushed her away, his expression icy. “So you have no remorse for what you’ve done? You’re protecting him, aren’t you? You will pay the price for every word you said today. You’re deluding yourself if you think you can have a happy life with him. Isabelle, you’re dreaming.”
He disgustingly pushed her away. There was no trace of emotion in his pupils anymore. Though it was indifferent, his gaze sent shivers down one’s spine.
Isabelle hung her sore wrist. She retreated in pain and leaned against the wall, watching him coldly walk away.
What did his words mean in the end? What did she pay as a cost? Where did she provoke him again?
Why does he seem angrier than when he found the video that day?

A strong sense of unease surged in her heart.
David rushed over and found Isabelle in the bathroom. Isabelle was still lost in thought. “Has Monica left?”
“I saw my mother off to the car. Come on, let’s continue looking at the dresses,” David said, with one hand in his pocket.
Suddenly, the manager of the bridal shop ran over and apologetically looked at David, saying, “I’m sorry, Mr. Lopez. Mr. Levine has booked this place. He has purchased all the dresses and gowns at full price. Please leave immediately.”
Isabelle hesitated for a moment and inexplicably felt relieved. She looked up at David.
David was not angry. He still had a calm expression on his face. He pursed his lips and looked at Isabelle, “What’s your opinion?”
“Let’s change to another store.”
“It doesn’t matter. Of course, we can’t buy it here anymore. Let’s go somewhere else,” David said casually.
With Isabelle in tow, Amy put on a stunning diamond dress and twirled to show it off to Warren in the VIP sofa area. Warren held a glass of red wine, his handsome profile focused and undistracted. He didn’t even glance at them.
David smiled faintly, “Mr. Levine doted on Ms. Watson. I will learn from him. Bella, I will dote on you.”
Isabelle’s avoided gaze paused for a moment. She didn’t know if David was saying this to vent his anger on her or if he had some other intention.
As they walked out of the bridal shop and got into the car, Isabelle

thought for a moment before turning her head and asking, “David, you didn’t intentionally bring me to this bridal shop, did you?”
David grabbed the steering wheel with his big hand and glanced sideways with a smile, “Of course not. Do you think I would be
childish enough to bring you along to provoke Warren? Silly girl. I am very mature.”
Isabelle frowned at him for a while, but ultimately suppressed the doubts in her heart. Warren misunderstood. David wouldn’t intentionally provoke, would he?
In the store, the wine glass was almost crushed by Warren. He was perfunctorily dealing with Amy.
He got up and walked to the French window, watching the discreet Cayenne drive away. Warren made a phone call, “Sheldon, set up a big plan for me. I want to give David an engagement gift.”
David came to the bridal shop to provoke and show off, brainwashing that foolish woman? How could his things be easily taken away, especially when she is still carrying his child.
