Chapter 18 Trap In The Bar
The heart–wrenching scream reverberated throughout the bar!
Isabelle thought, “Warren, I’m sorry. I’ve failed to keep the baby…”
Shivering all over, she closed her eyes in despair.
The moment the man’s foot landed on her belly, he was kicked and sent flying!
Her belly didn’t feel the pain. Isabelle sensed that the atmosphere suddenly changed as if the place had been frozen.
Now that she could move again, she covered her belly with trembling hands.
Miserable screams came from around her.
She opened her eyes and saw a tall figure.
The man acted like the king of hell. His masked face added to his cold aura. Before long, he took down all the men!
“Mr. L?” Isabelle was surprised and moved to tears.
Hadn’t he gone on a business trip? Why was he here?
He drew back his fist, turned around, crouched before Isabelle, and looked at her with a frosty look in his eyes. Her clothes had been torn. Her fair skin was showing. He roared with killing intent, “Get lost!”
The words were directed to the on–lookers, but Isabelle was also terrified.

Warren took off his fancy suit jacket and tossed it on her frail body.
Then, he asked coldly, “How’s your belly?”
Menaced by his aloof aura, for a moment, Isabelle was too afraid to answer. Then, she stroked her belly and sobbed, “The baby is OK. I promise…”
“How do you know that? You’re pregnant. How could you come to a bar?”
Disdain was plain in his eyes. Isabelle looked at the men lying on the floor. They looked like hooligans, and her clothes were torn. Instantly, she knew he must’ve misunderstood.
“Mr. L, it’s not what it looks like. I came because…” She tried to explain.
But he turned to leave. Now that the baby was fine, he didn’t care about the rest!
Isabelle bit her lower lip, the remaining words stuck on the tip of her tongue. Her back hurt so much it was as if it had broken. She tried several times before she finally got up.
It was a frightening night for Isabelle. Watching him leave resolutely and angrily, she felt sad. Her eyes reddened.
Holding back her tears, she staggered forward to catch up to him. Grateful to him for saving her life, she wanted to have a heart–to–heart talk with him.
But he wouldn’t give her a chance. Around the corner, he walked into a luxurious private room.
“Warren! Did you catch them in the act?” a frivolous man asked in the dim light.

Noticing Isabelle, who was at the door, Alex snorted, “I saw your newlywed wife walk into a private room in this bar. If I hadn’t informed you of it, she would’ve cheated on you.”

Isabelle was surprised. Now she knew why Warren suddenly appeared
in the bar.
His friend had called him. But they both misunderstood.
“Since she fools around, you should fool around too. I got these two girls for you. Come here. Make Warren happy!” Alex waved his hand with a wicked smile.
“Mister, you’re so handsome!”
The two girls sat beside Warren. Sitting there with an aloof aura, he didn’t drive them away.
“Mister, the mask makes you mysterious. And you have a great figure…” One of the girls touched his firm chest. Her voice was trembling when she spoke.
“Do you like it?” Warren asked, peeking in the direction of the door
“I love it. Let me feed you some wine.” The girl almost sat on his lap.
Isabelle’s face darkened. She was dejected and tired. He saved her but wouldn’t talk to her, and was flirting with other women. Was he trying to get back at her?
What they had was just a contract marriage. What he did was his own business. Sad, Isabelle wanted to leave.
But…anyway, he was his nominal husband!
He misunderstood her.

The girl had hardly placed the glass of wine to Warren’s lips when Isabelle snatched it away and put it on the table with a bam.
Surprised. Alex looked up.
Looking at his pretty jaw, despite her reluctance, Isabelle said gently, “Mr. L. it’s late. Go home with me!”
Hearing her voice. Alex nudged Marin, who sat beside him and said. “No wonder Warren came in a helicopter upon learning the news Isabelle is too enchanting and knows how to please a man. Do you think he’ll be mollified?”
Marin was enjoying the scene. “Let’s see how he’ll respond.”
However, Warren didn’t even look at her, let alone be enchanted. He said coldly, “Can anyone just walk into a private room?”
Isabelle froze on the spot and didn’t know what to say.

But he discouraged and embarrassed her.
Hearing Warren’s words, the girl said disdainfully, “Who are you? How dare you snatch my glass of wine away!”
The other girl sized Isabelle up and mocked, “Oh, is this the notorious Ms. Spencer? Are you shamelessly competing with us for a customer, bitch?”

Seeing that Isabelle didn’t speak, the girl continued, “Mister, don’t be fooled by this hussy. She’s said to be sluttier than us bar girls. Just now, several men tore her clothes in the corridor!”
A flinty look appeared in Warren’s eyes.
“What a loose woman!” the other girl said. She took a bottle of wine and said viciously, “You want to compete with us for this customer? I’ll be fair. Finish this bottle of wine or spill it all over you to make us happy. Then, this customer will be yours!”
Clearly, this was a vulgar, dirty trick. The room became quiet.
The girls suddenly held Isabelle!
They pressed the mouth of the bottle to her lips. With a sneer, they slowly poured the cold wine down her neck!
Isabelle disappointedly stared at Warren, her lips pale.
Was he gonna watch these girls insult and humiliate her and do nothing?
Then, why did he save her just now?
Sadness and anger seized her. She told herself to leave. If she stayed, they would insult her even more!
Narrowing her eyes, Isabelle was about to knock the bottle away.
Just then, with an unfathomable look in his eyes, Warren saw how sad she was.
With a loud sound, he suddenly kicked the leg of the table!

Isabelle stepped back with a start. Something behind her blocked her way, so she didn’t fall.
She looked back and found that it was Warren’s leg. He withdrew it carelessly.
He remained aloof and refused to look at her.
