Chapter 17 Violence
Isabelle stayed home for a rest the next day.
When she woke up. Warren had left for work. He had a bunch of assistants, so he went to work and returned home in a limo. He had strict rules and led a methodical life. Isabelle wondered what he did.
He left a message.
Maggie delivered his message. “Ma’am, the mister has gone on a business trip. He wants me to let you know not to mistreat his baby.
“You were drenched in the rain yesterday. Have a rest at home today. Don’t go out unless you have to.”
Isabelle was lost for words. Since when did she mistreat his baby?
He held a grudge and could be really harsh.
Thinking of what happened the night before, she was glad that he had been away on business.
With him away, Isabelle felt comfortable. After having lunch with his mom, she stayed in her room, looking up materials and drawing designs to get prepared for the provincial contest.
At dusk, her phone suddenly rang.
Lost in the world of design, she absentmindedly answered her phone, not even bothering to check the caller ID.
“Hello, Ms. Spencer? Your father Mr. Spencer got drunk and fell when talking business with someone in a bar. Can you come and pick him

up?”
Isabelle’s hand paused. She said coldly, “Please call Mrs. Spencer and Tonya instead. They’re his family, not me.”
“They didn’t even pick up their phones! Mr. Spencer gave me your number, mentioning that you’re also his daughter. He’s dealing with high blood pressure. It’s an emergency, and his life is at stake.”
The bartender felt baffled.
Isabelle’s heart softened.
George might be an asshole, but still, he was her father. She couldn’t watch him die and do nothing…
After a moment of hesitation, she compromised and said curtly, “The address.”
She tidied her desk, got changed, and went out alone without anyone else in the house knowing it.
At Royal Bar.
Isabelle got out of the car and walked into the bar. At the counter, she asked the bartender, “Excuse me, which room is Mr. Spencer in? How’s he?”
“He’s in Room 8, not looking good. Please follow me.”
With a frown, Isabelle followed the bartender into a narrow corridor.
She noticed the room numbers. Room 7 was at the end of the corridor. She paused and asked, “Haven’t we reached Room 8 yet?”
“It’s right around the corner, miss.” The bartender glanced at her in the dim light.

The look in his eyes gave Isabelle a bad feeling. If George did get badly injured, why did they keep him in a secluded private room?
She clenched her fingers subconsciously and said, “Go carry him out of the room. I’ll wait here…”
Before she could finish speaking, the bartender held her with one hand, covered her mouth with the other, and pushed her forward roughly. After passing the corner, he shoved her into a room!
“What do you want?” Isabelle got nervous. She got up from the floor quickly and looked around the room.
Suddenly, she saw George sitting leisurely on the sofa, clearly sober with sound limbs. He wasn’t drunk and didn’t fall!
Julia was standing beside him with a sneer.
Isabelle’s heart sank. The last family affection she held seemed to be punching her in the face. It hurt.
She was set up.
With reddening eyes, she asked, “George, why did you get me here? What do you want?”
“Be respectful! You unfilial girl. You don’t care about me at all.
“You intentionally embarrassed Tonya yesterday to make a fool of the Spencer family, didn’t you? The video of Tonya has been spread everywhere!”
Isabelle found it ridiculous. “How was it my fault?
“She lied about her miscarriage and tried to frame me. Should I have let her? Is that what you want?

“People talk behind my back. Go to the hospital with me now to abort the baby!”
Julia said sarcastically, “Bella, you crossed the line yesterday. Your father is just seeking justice for Tonya.
“If she’s mad, she won’t marry Brandon. Her baby is precious while yours is just a bastard. The bastard is worthless and will only bring shame to the Spencer family.”
George got even angrier at her words. He ordered with gloomy eyes, “Take her to the hospital!”
A chill ran throughout Isabelle’s body. Despite the desperation in her heart, she could still feel the pain.
She sneered, “To get back at me for your daughter, you tricked me into coming here and are forcing me to have an abortion. George, Julia, what you did will come back and bite you in the ass!”
Upon finish speaking, she ran toward the door!
Julia waved her hand. Several bulky men rushed in and subdued Isabelle easily.
George ordered coldly, “Take her away!”

Isabelle struggled violently, her eyes full of hatred. She wept, hoping to soften his heart.
The expression on George’s livid face froze. He seemed hesitant.
Seeing that, Julia walked to him and said, “George, if you don’t punish her tonight, she’ll get worse! She’ll attend the contest, beat Tonya, and take Luck Jewelry away from us!
“Since she won’t go to the hospital, we can cause her a miscarriage here. Kicking her repeatedly will do!”
George knew that Isabelle would remain a problem.
He looked at those men and said viciously, “OK. Make her afraid!”
Then, he left without looking back.
Julia winked. Those men closed the door immediately. She heartlessly stepped on Isabelle’s pale face. “Kick her hard. Kill her baby and shatter her uterus! Isabelle, your father wants you afraid!”
The pain was unbearable. Blood flowed from Isabelle’s red, widened
eyes.
She hated herself for being stupid and soft and falling into the trap!
She covered her belly with both hands. This was Warren’s baby. It was the foundation of their contract marriage.

“Ah!” When Julia got up to leave, those men threw Isabelle to the floor.

The four or five men kicked the table angrily and knocked it over. They grabbed Isabelle’s hair, dragged her out of the private room, and tore her clothes in the corridor. Afraid, she stopped struggling. They made her lie down.
In the dim light, a crowd gathered to watch the scene.

“No! No…” Isabelle screamed, trying to sit up.
But she couldn’t! She was horrified to see that a foot in a pointed–toed leather shoe under a robust leg was aiming at her belly! It would be a kick with all the might!
