Chapter 10 The Deal Is Gone
An assistant reported to Brandon, “Mr. Hodge, CEO of HopeNova Corporation, Daniel, is here to discuss business!”
Brandon was surprised. He had been counting on HopeNova for a big contract in the second half of the year. However, despite Isabelle’s multiple times trying, they hadn’t shown any interest. Why did they suddenly change their mind?
Tonya’s eyes sparkled, and she walked out. “Brandon, you must be excited, right? I worked really hard to secure this deal.”
Brandon was both delighted and surprised, “You’re the one who got the deal from HopeNova?”
Tonya gave Isabelle a funny glance and blushed coyly, nodding.
“You’re amazing, Tonya!” Brandon couldn’t contain his excitement and kissed Tonya’s cheek in front of everyone.
When Brandon realized what he had done, he glanced at Isabelle involuntarily.
Isabelle still looked indifferent as if she couldn’t care less about their affectionate display. Brandon felt upset for no reason.
“Tonya, hurry up and bring Daniel in. You’ll be in charge of the meeting with him,” Brandon instructed.
Tonya looked triumphant.
Tonya glanced at Isabelle with a sinister plan in mind and then took Isabelle’s arm.

“Isabelle, you’ve been longing for a contract from HopeNova, and I nailed it. Mr. Hodge asked me to be in charge of the meeting with Daniel. Don’t you want to sit in?”
Isabelle’s lips curled into a cold smile as she looked at Tonya’s gloating face.
Isabelle knew exactly why HopeNova would want to make a deal with Luck Jewelry.
“Are you sure you want me to sit in the meeting?” asked Isabelle.
“Yes!” Tonya couldn’t wait to humiliate Isabelle further.
Isabelle sneered, “Don’t regret it later.”
Five minutes later.
Daniel showed up in the meeting room. Brandon and the shareholders stood up to welcome him.
“Daniel, nice to meet you. I’m the general manager and chief designer of Luck Jewelry, Tonya Spencer.
“I’m honored that you like my designs.” Tonya proudly extended her hand.
“Nice to meet you!”
Daniel walked over. When he saw Isabelle, her unusual aura caught his attention. “Ms. Spencer, may I know who this is?”
Tonya replied with contempt, “Well, she’s an employee that just got fired. She’s suffering from insanity. Don’t get close!”
Daniel frowned, thinking that Isabelle didn’t look like someone with a mental illness.

Daniel got down to business, smiling, “Ms. Spencer, I love the design you submitted last. I came here today to sign a contract with Mr. Hodge, but I want to hear your interpretation of your work first.”
“No problem.” Tonya turned to her assistant. “Go get my design drawings.”
Brandon smiled proudly.
The shareholders whispered, “Tonya has real talent!”
“Isabelle is so pathetic. Why is she still here? Does she want to embarrass herself even more?”
Amidst the disdainful voices, Tonya smirked, and the assistant brought a jewelry sketchbook.
Isabelle stared. Those design drafts were all drawn by her!
Tonya claimed that they were hers and displayed them with pride. Everyone was impressed.
Tonya’s eyes glinted with malice. She had asked Isabelle to stay so that Isabelle would see how she claimed the credit for Isabelle’s designs and the contract that would be signed soon. She wanted to make Isabelle feel the pain and humiliation!
“Let me introduce my works to you…” Tonya confidently began.
However, Daniel shook his head. “Ms. Spencer, you misunderstood. I want you to explain the design you submitted last.”
Daniel placed the design drawing on the table and continued, “Your design is stunning, but it’s also unconventional. About the red gem in the center of the Blue Ocean Heart, you said it was an Elment Blood Diamond. Is there any special meaning behind it?”

Tonya looked at the design drawing and was dumbfounded.
Tonya knew about all the previous drafts Isabelle had submitted to HopeNova and had memorized several creative points.
But she had never seen this one before! It was so complicated that she couldn’t understand it at all.
Tonya looked up and caught Isabelle’s sneer.
What was going on? What trick did that wicked Isabelle play behind
her back?
“Ms. Spencer? Please explain your design,” Daniel urged with a smile.
Tonya’s face turned red, and she felt like something was jamming her throat. With everyone staring at her, she said with difficulty, “I use Gamiko Blood Diamonds because…”
“Elment Blood Diamond!” Daniel was puzzled. How did Tonya get the name of her creation wrong?
Noticing that Tonya seemed nervous and unprepared, Daniel furrowed his brows and asked, “Ms. Spencer, isn’t this work your creation?”
“What nonsense are you talking about? It’s mine!” Tonya argued, her face flushed.
“Then please explain it to me.”
Tonya’s mind went blank, and she didn’t know what to say.
Isabelle saw the cold sweat on Tonya’s forehead and walked over with a sneer. She pointed at the design, calmly explaining, “Elment Blood Diamond is used because there’s an Elmentian myth you really like. The designer did some research on you and knew you loved blood diamonds. Daniel was astonished as he looked at Isabelle. “Why do you know how to explain this amazing idea?”
Isabelle smiled, “Because I am the original designer of this work!”
Daniel’s eyes widened in shock.
The shareholders looked puzzled.
“Isabelle, that’s nonsense!” Tonya panicked and forcefully pushed Isabelle away, her face pale. But then, she tried to defend herself, “Daniel, I swear this design is mine! As everyone knows, I’m a genius designer. I just won the top prize in the city–level jewelry competition!
“Isabelle, we designed this together.
“But you replaced the blood diamond secretly so that I couldn’t answer Daniel’s question. Do you want to ruin my deal with Daniel?”
The company’s interest was at stake. The puzzled shareholders started to be angry at Isabelle.
Daniel frowned. “Which of you is the original designer?
“I don’t care about your internal fight. But if you want my contract, I only work with a designer with real talent!”
Isabelle clenched her fists hard. She’d worked so hard to draw the design, but Tonya twisted all the facts.
Isabelle felt a twinge in her heart.
Isabelle knew that Tonya didn’t win the price of that jewelry competition by herself. She won it for Tonya!

Since Tonya brought it up, why not take this opportunity to compete with her?
“Actually, it isn’t difficult to prove who is the real original designer of the work!”
Isabelle continued, “Daniel, all shareholders, next month, there’s a state–level jewelry competition. How about Tonya and I both participate? Whoever wins gets to work with Daniel and also becomes the general manager of Luck Jewelry!”
Tonya and Brandon looked worried as they realized Isabelle was trying to get back to the company!
Tonya immediately opposed, “Isabelle, this kind of bet is reckless. You’ve never won any prizes. I don’t want to see you embarrass yourself.”
Brandon knew about Isabelle’s capabilities and didn’t want her to go any further. “Have you done messing around?” He turned to the assistant. “Escort her out. She’s no longer an employee of this company…”
“I agree with this lady! Whoever wins the competition gets to work with me!” Daniel pondered for a moment and made up his mind. “Mr. Hodge, I’m quite disappointed today! I won’t be signing the contract for now. I’m leaving.”
“Daniel…” Brandon hastily chased after Daniel.
The shareholders were anxious too. That could have been the company’s biggest contract.
Tonya noticed their anxious looks and then sighed, “Isabelle, to return to the company, you ruined our opportunity to get a contract. I won’t play such a pointless game with you.”
Isabelle sneered, “What? Are you afraid of competing with me? Afraid of exposing yourself as a total fraud?”
Some shareholders stared at Isabelle with anger. “You hurt everyone’s interests and overestimate your abilities. Tonya, you should compete with her! You have a city–level top prize. What does she have?”
“There were rumors that Isabelle plagiarized your works. Don’t pull punches in the competition. Show her what a genius designer you are!”
“That’s right! You’re a genius designer. Even if Isabelle has another ten years, she won’t beat you. Let’s see her make a fool of herself!”
The shareholders didn’t think much of Isabelle and believed that she would undoubtedly lose.
Tonya enjoyed being praised, but she was also put in a difficult position. She had no choice but to agree for now, “Isabelle, don’t blame me for not showing mercy. I’ll make sure you lose!”
“Oh? With your strength? I look forward to it,” Isabelle smirked and left.
Failing to get the response she wanted, Tonya bit her lip with frustration. At that moment, she saw Brandon return, looking rather upset, likely because they lost the big contract.
Nervous, Tonya narrowed her eyes and suddenly grabbed Isabelle, whispering, “Isabelle, you probably don’t know this, but I convinced Brandon to give me your medical record in bed. Compared to me, he said you were boring and that you didn’t deserve his love!”
Isabelle turned back to stare at her and slap her in the face.
Unexpectedly, Tonya immediately fell to the floor…
Tonya clapped her hands to her face and cried, “Isabelle, it’s one thing

“Isabelle, that’s enough!”
Brandon rushed over, pushing Isabelle away and helping Tonya up.
He had been angry at Tonya, but when he saw her swollen cheek, he felt his heart ache instantly. He stared at Isabelle coldly and said, “Tonya always looks out for the company’s interest. What about you? You’re selfish, and you slapped Tonya! How could you? Don’t you know she’s pregnant?!
