Chapter 65 Someone Wants to Kill Her
After breakfast, Freya went to the company where she spent the morning handling some documents and attending a meeting.
Nowadays, whenever the executives of the Kaufmann Group met Freya, they all seemed nervous around
her.
However, Freya didn’t pay much attention to it. After lunch, she drove to the Joint Department in West
Geft.
The atmosphere at the Joint Department was notably different from that of the company as it was a reconstruction department that many residents of West Geft were aware of. Occasionally, people would. come and create trouble, demanding to see the person in charge.
Some felt the compensation was unfair, while others came looking for trouble.
After consulting with Radley, Freya decided to open a large office at the main entrance of the Joint Department to specifically handle these issues.
Upon entering the Joint Department, Freya was greeted with a bustling scene of activity.
Freya observed her surroundings, but despite Radley’s claim that there was work to be done at the Joint Department, there seemed to be very little to occupy her time. Except for a few indecisive managers who occasionally sought their input, she spent most of her time listening to reports. Other than that, there was nothing much for her to do.
Once in the office, Freya opened her computer and entered the dark web.
Her fingers quickly tapped the keyboard, and soon she entered the largest trading forum on the dark web, The Green Flamation forum.
In The Green Flamation forum, a diverse range of items was available for trade ranging from items trade to buying and selling information. New registered users only had access to simple goods and information trades.
As the number of registered users grew and special permissions were granted by the forum’s management, some exclusive sections and trades became accessible. These sections involved substantial amounts of money and gradually became more secretive and shady.
Freya was a senior member of The Green Flamation forum with the username “Green Scylla” and was one of the forum’s four major administrators.
She used to occasionally take on small tasks in The Green Flamation forum to hone her skills while carning some extra income.
Freya’s diverse skill set allowed her to take on a range of tasks in the forum, all of which had one common characteristic-they were considered impossible by others.

Freya checked the group chat of the four major administrators and noticed that two members were currently active and chatting.

Ink replied, ‘You’re here, Green Scylla? I’ve added the latest tasks to the task list. Go take a look and see if there’s any that interest you.
Another person, who was chatting with Ink in the administrator group, joined the conversation.
Heartless Scoundrel typed, ‘Green Scylla, what have you been busy with lately? We haven’t seen you in a while.
Freya quickly typed on the keyboard; Green-Scylla responded, ‘I was busy with love!”
Heartless Scoundrel seemed surprised. ‘Did you find a girl you like? That’s rare for you.”
When Freya first joined The Green Flamation forum, she didn’t provide much personal information and had defaulted her gender to male. As a result, many users assumed that Green Scylla was a male hacker genius with a diverse range of interests.
One of Green Scylla’s fangirls analyzed all the tasks and comments he received based on her skills and knowledge. After delving into various aspects of psychology, she concluded that he was a male hacker genius with a wide range of interests and a dull man in his mid-thirties..
The analysis post was very thorough and well-received by everyone in the forum. Freya was pleased that someone had led the conversation in a different direction, as it made it easier for her to maintain her secret identity on the dark web.
The four administrators of The Green Flamation forum were Ink, Green Scylla, Heartless Scoundrel, and Tisch. Tisch was the only administrator known to be female in everyone’s perception.
Freya didn’t reply to Heartless Scoundrel’s message and switched to the task posting page to have a look.
There were no high-paying tasks available, so she scrolled through the page and switched to the section where users could post tasks independently.
Soon, she came across a familiar name. Miss Freya of the Kaufmanns in Caltun.”
Freya narrowed her eyes and clicked on the task to take a look.
The publisher was named Rose Zero, and the task was to assassinate Freya with a task value of 5 million dollars.
Upon seeing the task, Freya became solemn. She quickly took a screenshot and shared it with the other administrators in their group chat.
Green Scylla asked, ‘Ink, do you know this publisher?”
Ink replied, I’ve never seen this person before. They just registered recently. This kind of self-published task doesn’t have any forum security deposits, so generally, no one would accept it. Perhaps it’s just a joke?”
Sitting on her chair, Freya returned to the task interface.
Her intuition told her this was no joke, especially since the post provided the exact location of the Kaufmann Residence.

Given the previous suspicious car accidents and the break-in at her bedroom, it seemed that whoever was behind these incidents was hiding very well.
Freya found Rose Zero’s method of publishing the task to be strange, as it was done publicly and without any attempt at concealment. This made her wonder if Rose Zero was not afraid of being discovered by the Kaufmann family.
Unless this publisher is not affiliated with the person who caused the previous accidents.
After some thought, she quickly created a small program to filter out Rose Zero’s IP address.
It would take some time to find out who Rose Zero was.
As Freya sat in her chair pondering, she considered the possibility that the previous incidents were attempted murders. If that were the case, the person who snuck into her bedroom should have acted. directly upon her return to the Kaufmann family instead of fleeing and covering up the subsequent surveillance.
This approach appeared less like an attempt to harm her directly and more like someone searching for something specific.
The same approach could be applied to Braxton’s car accidents and Freya’s two previous acc Although none were fatal, they caused chaos within the Kaufmann family.
Freya’s eyes lit up as she realized that if the other party was trying to create chaos within the Kat family, it was likely because they were after something that was within the family’s possession whi be troublesome.
As Freya rested her chin on her hands, she acknowledged that the Kaufmann family owned many valu possessions. However, she remained clueless about the other party’s objective.
Regardless of the situation, these people were definitely not associated with the seemingly foolish Rose
Zero.
While the program ran, Freya picked up a cup and was about to get some water to drink.
Ayden was currently on watch at the Kaufmann Residence, and Freya didn’t want to hire another assistant. She preferred to handle the minor tasks herself.
As Freya approached the water dispenser, she heard a knock on the door to her office.
Through the frosted glass, she could vaguely see the silhouette of the person outside.
“Come in.”
The office door opened, and Radley walked in.
“Please have a seat, Mr. Monaghan.”
The two sat at the desk, and Freya asked, “Is there something you need?”
“There’s a banquet, and I want you to be my partner,” Radley stated bluntly.
