Chapter 57 The Past Two Years
Rosie vented all her frustration from being scolded onto Freya as she incessantly complained.
Hannah hesitated and looked at her mother. “Mom, don’t you think that Freya is at least much better than Danna?
“Danna?” Rosie frowned. “I used to think that although Danna was not good enough for your brother, at least she was better than Freya. However, she seems like a narrow-minded person now.”
Hannah didn’t try to persuade her mother any further.
However, her perception of Freya had completely changed.
On the second floor, Radley sat in his study, and Connor followed him in.
“Mr. Monaghan, the security department has sent all the surveillance footage to your computer,” Connor reported.
The Monaghans’ mansion and Smalzot Yard both had their home security monitoring handled by the Monaghan Network Security Department.
Since all the footage had been sent over, Radley remained calm as he opened the folder containing the surveillance data of the Monaghans’ mansion.
In the footage, Danna was wandering in the living room.
After that, his grandma showed up, and Danna went to her side.
At 2 p.m., the situation took a turn for the worse when his grandma suddenly had an episode and threw a piece of cake on Danna’s skirt. Then, Danna stormed out to the restroom in a rage.

The rest of the words were muffled, but Radley could guess the word she was about to say.
On the side, Connor’s expression changed slightly. He grew up in the Monaghan family and had received care from Daniella since young. Therefore, he was also angry upon seeing the scene.

After Connor left, Radley opened his eyes and looked around the study.
He usually stayed in Smalzot Yard and rarely came to this study in the Monaghans’ mansion.
It was Freya who often came here. All the furnishings in the study were not the original design, but rather his preferred style.
Something stirred in Radley’s heart. He stood up and looked at the herbal diffuser on the nearby shelf.
It had the same scent as before.
Freya had made so much effort behind his back.
As he returned to his computer, he looked at the surveillance files.
The files sent by the Monaghan Network Security Department were not only for the Monaghans’ mansion but also for Smalzot Yard.
He manipulated the mouse and moved the cursor over to Smalzot Yard.
The monitoring files were quite comprehensive, and he found the day he married Freya. He remembered. that it was also his grandmother’s birthday.
Then, he clicked on the monitoring and scrolled through it day by day.
In the video, Freya was always wearing simple and ladylike clothes as she was quietly busy with household chores.
She ironed his clothes, polished his shoes, and sprayed them with perfume afterward.
It turned out that all these tasks were not done by the maid.
As he continued to watch, his heart became increasingly suffocated.
Freya personally took care of everything related to him.
She made the herbal diffuser, cooked dinner every day, and spent most of her time on the balcony in the bedroom as she looked in the direction of the front gate.

home.

The bedroom surveillance footage was encrypted, but he entered the password and saw Freya bustling about while holding her phone and looking at something.
As he zoomed in on the screen, he saw a blurry figure of a person on her phone screen. It was a picture of
him.
She scrolled through the photos on her phone. There were images of his profile and back view, but not a single photograph where he was looking directly at the camera.
Suddenly, the screen turned black, and a voice sounded.
Footsteps echoed, and he came home.
That day, he was in a very bad mood. Danna had a heart attack because he did not divorce Freya.
Therefore, he went to a bar and had a few drinks before returning home. He ripped off her clothes while she was asleep.
Radley’s fingers trembled slightly.
As he watched the quick playback of the two years, he realized that he was the most emotionless and callous person, like a demon.
He didn’t watch any further as he remembered that he had asked for a divorce the next morning.
He didn’t want to recall that time anymore.
Did I make the wrong choice?
The air in the study seemed stagnant.
Radley sat in his chair and looked out the window. The sunshine reflected all the dust particles in the air.
His aura was cold and heavy.

Freya handled her work in the morning and was about to go to the Joint Department after lunch when
Melissa showed up at the Kaufmann Group,
“Frey, I heard that you’re going to West Geft. Take me with you!”
Melissa had a big backpack on her back and looked excited.
Freya squinted. “Have you finished packing your stuff? Don’t you have class today?”
“Yes, everything’s packed. I don’t have class today.”
Melissa was very persistent and her tenacity knew no bounds. Although Freya could handle her, she still loved her cousin and eventually took her to the Joint Department in West Geft.
When they arrived at the office of the Joint Department, Freya instructed, “I told you there’s nothing fun here. Since you insist on coming, be quiet and don’t disturb others’ work.”

She looked at Freya’s office and then glanced at the neighboring one.
“Hey, who’s in the office next door?” she asked.
Freya glanced at the door and replied. “The president of the Monaghan Group.”
“The president of the Monaghan Group?” Melissa thought for a moment before her eyes widened in surprise. “Radley Monaghan? Your ex-husband?”
Freya gritted her teeth and smiled dangerously. “Melissa Marshall!”
Melissa immediately shut her mouth obediently.
The media caused quite a stir in Caltun when they revealed Radley and Freya’s marriage following their divorce.
After Melissa entered the office, she whispered to Freya, “Grandma was really angry when she found out about you and Radley. She said she wanted to force the Monaghan Group out of Caltun.”
Thinking of her grandma and uncle, Freya chuckled softly. “Considering Grandma’s temperament, I’m not surprised at all. Did your dad try to persuade her?”
Melissa raised her eyebrows and replied, “My dad fully supported her. However, it’s not easy to force the Monaghan Group out of Caltun. We only took a few resources from them recently.”
That’s still a big deal, isn’t it?
Freya frowned. “Radley is not an easy person to deal with, and I don’t have any relationship with him right now. It might be a good idea to speak with your dad to avoid ending things on a negative note with the Monaghans.”
She was worried about the Marshall family.
