The room Jamie arranged for Edward was at the far end of the villa, with a view of the backyard from the window. It had a pleasant environment.
Edward lay on the sickbed with his eyes closed, and he looked much thinner than usual.
Freya’s heart ached when she remembered the phone call Jamie made during the last live broadcast. “During the last live broadcast, you said you took Edward to pay respects to your parents. Was that a lie?”
Jamie stood by Freya’s side while looking at his brother lying on the sickbed and replied, “Yes. At that time, Edward had just been diagnosed with stomach cancer.

He froze in place, and Freya stood by with wide eyes.

However, the guard didn’t listen to her. Instead, he turned to look at Jamie.
Jamie’s lips carried a smile as he walked step by step toward Lucius and the other two. His gaze swept over them, and it finally settled on Lucius.
“I don’t like people who have no manners. From now on, you three will stay with me for a year or so. So, it’s better to be obedient and polite.”
As he spoke, a faint smile played on his face, but no one could ignore the underlying hostility and thirst for blood in his eyes.
He emitted a menacing aura that left no doubt in people’s minds that he would strike at any given
moment.
Lucius clenched his teeth and fixed his gaze on Jamie while refraining from uttering another word. Freya approached Lucius and positioned herself in front of him.
“Mr. Fraser, if you wish to cure your younger brother, you cannot afford to lose any of these three individuals.”
Jamie’s expression changed. “Of course. I invited them here to have a meal and discuss the illness. I simply did not anticipate Mr. Gray’s impulsive behavior.”
While speaking, Jamie stared at Lucius, devoid of any trace of a smile in his eyes.
“I’ve heard that you’re a prodigious young talent in the medical field, correct? If you wish to avoid an untimely demise, you should be more obedient in the future.”
His demeanor resembled that of someone raising Lucius as a pet. Jamie made a gesture, and the gun pressed against Lucius’ forehead was immediately withdrawn.
“All right. It’s time for lunch. Please proceed to the restaurant.”
