Chapter 383 The Signal From Brisa
Three days later, in an apartment near Evergreen University, an inconspicuous man arrived at the entrance of the neighborhood.
He had an average appearance and hairstyle, but his expression appeared rigid.
Upon reaching the neighborhood entrance, he purchased a pack of cigarettes before entering.
Unfamiliar with the neighborhood, the man took some time to locate Building 21.
The building was an old one without an elevator. Thus, he climbed the stairs and stood in front of Room 2106 before knocking on the door.
The door was opened promptly.
Jamie looked at the man outside the door and wasn’t surprised by the man’s arrival at all.
He respectfully opened the door and stepped aside while saying. “You’ve arrived.”
After entering the room, the inconspicuous man glanced around at the furnishings and uttered, “Hmm, Moonblade should have informed you.”

The man walked toward the sofa in the room, sat down, and reached out to grab his hair.
“Why so slow, Strategist? This is unlike you.”
As he spoke, he forcefully removed his scalp.
Soon, a human skin mask was thrown onto the table, and a man with golden locks was revealed. He had a stunningly beautiful appearance, which resembled an elven king in a movie.

Jamie remained calm, and there was a hint of coldness in his eyes. “I apologize, but Caltun has always been the territory of the Monaghans and Kaufmanns. These two families have deep roots here, and we haven’t had the opportunity to make a move.”
“Hmm?” Falcon’s voice carried a nasal tone, and it was accompanied by a mocking tone. “Is it truly a lack of opportunity, or are you unwilling to do it?”
Jamie remained silent upon being questioned.
Noticing that, Falcon chuckled softly. “I’ve heard that the book is in Freya’s possession. I’ve recently seen her photos, and she looks stunning.”
“That’s irrelevant to this matter,” Jamie said.
“I don’t care about her background or charm. I only want that book. If you’re capable, eliminate her directly and retrieve the book. Perhaps she’ll have a chance to find happiness before she meets her demise.” Falcon nodded.
Jamie raised his eyes slightly after hearing that; his gaze was icy cold.

“I’ll give you three more days. If I don’t see that book after three days, I’ll personally take over. You can simply return to Mutrya and face the consequences.” Falcon laughed.

The man nodded in satisfaction. “Yes.”
Jamie lowered his gaze. “In Florin, we have a saying, ‘repaying kindness with gratitude,’ which means that when someone does a small favor for you, you should repay them with a great favor.”
“The history of Florin is indeed interesting.” Falcon laughed.

The blond man widened his eyes and tried to struggle as he got up.

The man’s resistance lasted a mere two seconds. His major artery was severed, and he stared wide-eyed. before slipping into unconsciousness. In just a minute, he succumbed to death.
Blood splattered on the walls, windows, and sofa.
Jamie still held the dagger that was embedded in the Falcon’s neck. He pulled it down forcefully to ensure that the man was indeed dead.
“So, the sound of a major artery being cut is that faint, he said with a sneer.
Jamie removed the dagger and sat on the sofa opposite the corpse before picking up a wet towel from the

Within the organization, his personality had always been ruthless, wild, and rough, but in reality, he was meticulous and more careful than anyone else.
Jamie meticulously cleaned up the bloodstains in the room, and finally, he dragged Falcon into the bathtub in the bathroom, turned on the shower, and removed the sofa cover.

Late at night, Freya’s phone on the bed suddenly vibrated.
She promptly opened her eyes, rolled over, and retrieved the phone from the bedside table. Lately, owing to numerous pressing matters, she had been quite anxious, even carrying that tension into her dreams.
Seeing the incoming call, Freya narrowed her gaze and immediately got out of bed.
She didn’t even have time to put on her slippers and ran barefoot into the adjacent study.
She turned on the system on her computer and quickly located a red dot.
This was the most confidential signal of the Green Flamation forum, known only to the four major administrators.
Inken and Landon were currently in Caltun, so the only one who could send this signal was Brisa!
Freya saw where Brisa was located. It was a village on the outskirts of Caltun along the river.
She immediately put away her phone and called Inken, “I found Brisa!”
Sending this confidential signal required a password known only to the four of them, and Freya knew Brisa’s unyielding personality well.
She shouldn’t be in any danger.
After receiving the call, Inken immediately went to investigate.
He quickly returned a message, “There’s a Mount Lanpo near the village, and it’s a signal blind spot. Brisa might have lost her way in that area before reaching the village. Nevertheless, we should remain vigilant.
Freya’s heart finally settled upon reading the message. I understand. Let’s go pick her up now!
It was now one o’clock in the morning. Freya had been leading a seemingly ordinary life recently, but she couldn’t sleep well due to her worries about Brisa.
Inken then replied, ‘Alright, to avoid any issues, stay at home. I’ll arrange for a team to pick you up near your house.”
Please be quiet when you arrive. Just give me a call when you’re near my house. I’m afraid of waking up my family, Freya replied.
As there shouldn’t be any danger involved in picking up Brisa, Freya changed into more comfortable clothes suitable for moving around at home.

She waited in the bedroom for two hours before receiving a message from Inken, informing her that the convoy had arrived at a location one street away from Kaufmann Residence.
Due to the high-security level of Kaufmann Residence, she temporarily deactivated the security network, climbed over the wall after leaving the house, and then reactivated it.
Several cars were parked silently one street away.
Freya glanced at them and noticed that Inken had already got down from the first car, saying, “Let’s go.”
Freya nodded and got into the car, asking, “How is Brisa doing?”
